23 At the audition BE YOURSELF Let us get to know YOU so we can figure out where you might fit best! ARRIVE EARLY You won t want to miss any of the fun! Think of early as on time, on time as late and late as inexcusable. DRESS APPROPRIATELY Wear something that makes you look and feel great. If you re a dancer, we will want to see your silhouette so be sure and where dance attire that is fitted and not oversized. CHOOSE APPROPRIATE AUDITION MATERIAL If requested to choose your own audition material, choose something that you love and that you can connect to with ease.

24 At the audition STAY HEALTHY AND HYDRATED As you never know how long an audition might last, please remember to bring along some water and a snack. COME PREPARED Remember to bring an A4 size headshot (photo) of yourself and a CV that lists your training and experience. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF Confidence is an important quality that all casting directors look for. Remember that the casting team is on your side and wants you to succeed. SMILE Remember that our audiences are families and children of all ages. If they see that you are enjoying yourself, they will have a great time as well. HAVE FUN

25 Remember KNOW WHO AND WHAT YOU ARE AUDITIONING FOR Do your research. Know the Casting Director, Director, the play or show, character. ATTITUDE IS ALMOST EVERYTHING Yes you need talent, but people want to work with people they want to work with FIRST IMPRESSIONS You will be watched from the moment you enter the venue, from sign in, waiting area, entering studio, auditioning, leaving DON T RUSH Yes there are a couple hundred people to be seen, but be confident and measured entering the room, reviewing material with accompanist, and leaving to room.

26 Online Submissions PROFESSIONAL NEUTRAL SETTING No bedrooms, closets or back yards. Watch out for background noise. GET HELP Have a friend help you selfie submissions show. DRESS TO BE CAST Dress in form fitting, audition appropriate attire. SLATE, PAUSE, PERFORM Want to be sure the casting director knows who you are and then deliver a confident performance for the camera - don t overact BE YOURSELF The Casting Director WANTS you to succeed!

SHOW US YOU Include a good head & shoulders shot and full body shot in the video KEEP IT BUSINESS Be confident and upbeat - be yourself; avoid jokes SMILE
