1 Module One Release The Weight That s Holding You Back WORKBOOK Determine Your Why It s All About You Time To Take Out the Trash.. Talk Reframing Negative Statements and Beliefs My Body Contract 1

2 Determine your WHY : The Roadmap to Your Success State Your Intentions and Lose The Limiting Belief System Any lifestyle change requires that you state your intentions, commit to the process, plan, prepare and execute your action steps. Although challenging, if you are consistent with your actions, you will reach your goals and exceed your expectations. This step is about your mindset, your commitment and attitude towards creating your ideal body. Please do NOT skip this step. One of the important ways to successful reach your goals, is to get your mind in the game. Failure to succeed starts in the MIND and if your mind is not in the game, your body won t respond to the changes you are attempting to make. This is a good time for you to think about your WHY, which is the number one reason you have decided to make your health a priority. It is the driving force that will motivate you and will determine how consistent you are on this journey. Remember do not rush the process; enjoy the journey for long lasting results. It is extremely important that you evaluate where you are, where you would like to go and the action steps you will use to reach your goals. When thinking of your WHY consider the following questions: Please take a moment to dig deep and ask yourself hard questions and challenge your commitment level. Understanding your Why What is making you say I am ready? What is your compelling reason to release the weight? 2

3 What will make this time different from all the other times you attempted to release the weight? What is it going to take to keep you focus on your journey? Enjoy the process and remember, the more you make healthy living enjoyable for yourself, the more likely it will work for you. 3

4 It s All About Me! Creating and living your ideal body doesn t come from thinking about what you want, but rather the feeling you get when you think about it. If you could create your ideal body what would it look like? How much would it weigh? What size would it be? What type of clothing would it wear? How would it FEEL as you moved around it? Write your own script..describe in detail how you see your body looking and the feeling inside. Picture these details in your mind. Be specific in writing down all the details. Using all 5 senses is the most powerful way to do this. You can also keep a journal with your new scripts Use this process as many times as you like and make sure you update your script as your goals change. This script can be what your mental rehearsal or meditation that you do everyday 4

5 Time to Take Out the Trash Talk Step 1: Write down all the pitfalls that may have sabotaged your attempts in the past Step 2: Write down everything you don t like about your body and don t want Step 3: Sign and date it Step 4: Take the paper and smash it into a ball and throw it out in the trash. By doing this you are releasing negative self talk, and mentally saying to bye, bye old negative self and hello to my new positive self! Sign Date 5

6 REFRAMING NEGATIVE STATEMENTS & BELIEFS The key is to reframe the negative statements and turn them into positive self-talk. The minute you catch yourself in a negative thought, create a word or phrase like Delete, Regroup, Erase, etc. then reframe it into a positive statement. My reframing word is or magical button that I imagine is: Give a recent example of something negative you said about your body, food, or exercise. Now, reframe that in the positive: Try this every time you hear yourself say or think something negative. Simply re-frame how you say it. By being constantly aware of your thoughts, you can change negative thought patterns or beliefs instantly. 6

7 MY BODY CONTRACT I accept my body as it is today and I am allowing myself to change my body the way I feel is fit, healthy, and lean. I will focus on the feelings it will bring me and commit to my nutrition, exercise, and positive attitude everyday. I focus on what I want to achieve. If I do not understand something or feel overwhelmed I will relax and refocus. Every day I will focus on what I can do that will bring me closer to my goals, and I realize that this is a permanent way that I am changing for my new healthy and fit lifestyle. I will reward myself each time I make progress with something other than food or alcohol. I deserve to have the body I am creating and I believe that I am creating it!
