1 Year 6 Leavers Assembly 2018 Pianists play as parents come in There is a white board on the stage which says WRITE DOWN 80 THINGS YOU HAVE LEARNED at PRIMARY SCHOOL Backstage (Laureta, Max, Alessia, Ali, Yusuf) Yusuf comes in on his own. He looks around. He is bored. He sits tapping a pencil. Laureta comes in and starts doodling on the white board Max, Alessia and Ali come in. They look at the board. Max: That s mad Alessia: I can t think of 80 things Ali: I can t even think of 8 things. Laureta doodling on a white board Laureta : Well I suppose I learned to doodle. Max: I learned to write my name Alessia is flicking a ruler Alessia: I learned to use a ruler. Yusuf: I learned how to tap a rhythm (Everybody stays on stage clear to the back) CUP SONG (10 rounds of THE CUP SONG started by Marc) (Marc, Dhruv, Kai, Joshua, Sara (6J), Pia, Jenevieve, Alessia, Shehreyar, Rohan, Yasmin, Yusuf) Still on stage: Laureta, Ali, Max, Dillon to come up and starts keeping score on the pretend white board Dillan: I LEARNED TO COUNT! Max : I learned to keep a tally! Ali : I learned how to add up Sara E: And divide! Alisha: And all my times tables (standing up at the bench)
2 Rohan: What was 7x8 again? Everyone: 56! Yasmin: I learned how to write fractions! (She draws one on the board) Sara E: I learned to write Algebra! (She draws this too. The board is getting messy) Nimesh runs up onto the stage and mimes cleaning the whiteboard. Nimesh: I learned how to clean a whiteboard! Everyone - Hey!!! Laureta: I learned you don t rub other people s work out. Hetvi: I learned how to write neatly (stands up and mimes writing in the air) Everyone: OOooh (Hetvi pulls a face and sits down again) Shehreyar : We learned how to do Circus tricks! Children clear to the back and sides /MAT is put out. CIRCUS TRICKS / SKILLS : SHEHREYAR, Hetvi, ALISHA, Adam, Ashane, Dillan, Nadiir, Rehan Nadiir: I learned to try something new. Dillan : I learned the Alphabet! Pia : I learned how to spell! Umayr: I learned to raise my hand! Sara: (shouts out ) I LEARNED NOT TO SHOUT OUT!! Everyone falls silent. And looks at her. I can still shout though. Ghanage: I learned to read! Quietly (Brings out a big book and starts to read it) Sami : I learned how to fold paper! Kai: I learned how to do origami! (holds up some origami or makes something quickly) Lauretta I learned how to use watercolours Fatimah: I learned how to tessellate shapes Alex: Zadie: I learned how to make a lava lamp I learned how to make slime
3 Marc : I learned to play the guitar 27 Marc + Janahan guitar song - Jenevieve and Isobella singing Rohan : I learned how to cook lasagne. Everyone just looks at him. Rohan: Just saying. I can t do it now obviously Shereyar: I learned how to make puppets Illays : I learned how to tie my shoe laces. Well nearly. Dillon : What else did we learn? Yasmin: We learned lots of different sports Neha: Yes - we learned how to play netball! Naimah: And how to play rounders! Sara U: And how to swim! Patricia: Hana: Isobella: And how to play football! And how to play cricket! And how to play basket ball! Naiyah : And dance! (38) Rayhan : Did someone say dance? The music starts for the boys dance. The girls all clear the stage as if by magic. BOYS CARLTON DANCE to IT S NOT UNUSUAL (Rayhan, Joseph, Illays, Dillan, Kai, Matei, Nadiir, Joshua, Jesse, Yusuf, Shehreyar, Luqman, Max, Ryan, Rohan, Mohammad, Imran, Saif, Dhruv, Ali, Nimesh, Ibrahim) Joshua: Matei: I learned to take risks I learned how to work with different people Adam: I learned how to collaborate Santhos: I learned to write my name in Arabic
4 Saif: I learned how to speak French Luqman: I learned how to bake bread Rebecca: I learned how to write dialogue Swathy: I learned how to use description Jesse: I learned how to write a newspaper report Dhruv: I learned the difference between fact and fiction Neha: We learned how to write a poem Deanna: And how to perform it 51 GIRLS POEM (Deanna & Neha) Ali - How many is that now? Piano interlude? Ryan: I learned to make a lightbulb light up. Rehan: I learned about magnetism Ashane: I learned about teamwork

And when to be quiet.
