It is more comprehensive and displays a larger breadth of information than a regular web. Purpose: Research demonstrates that spatially arranging information and designating intellectual purpose to artistic expression increases understanding and retention. In addition, it allows one to extract main ideas, identify important concepts and information, and display it graphically. Instructions: Draft your mind map on normal paper. Use colored writing utensils to spatially arrange information purposefully. Doodle little graphics and signs to help you remember certain concepts and ideas.
