1 What s new for 2011/2012? IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Attention all Operators, Managers & Store Associates PLANOGRAM (POG) Inline Stores 5 high pinwheel fixtures for Engagement, Mini, and Box Calendars constructed with 4-2 x 5 and 4-1 x 5 grid panels as well as 4 liners. See Floor plan for floor placement and POG for shelf placement. 5 high POP floor fixtures for Giftwrap, Novelty and promotional products constructed with 2 2 x 5 grid panels, 1 liner and the NEW T feet Toy Demo Table constructed of 6-2 x 2 and 4-2 x 3 grid panels with liners and a new corrugate topper that is placed on the 2 sections. See Set Up guide for details. New Floor Plan Page Page two of the inline floor plans is a schematic drawing that shows measurements for fixture placement relevant to other fixtures or permanent features in the store. Use this for placing the floor fixtures throughout your store and for a quick check of overall store dimension before you begin building. Graphic Placement Indicators On the floor plan and within the POG the graphics are shown. Floor Plan Indicators any narrow rectangle on the floor plan with a light pink fill and a 300 series number is a graphic indicator. These indicate relative placement for the graphic type and that this type of graphic was included in the fixture pick. The POG and Graphic guide details where each graphic should be placed and how to attach them. Reminder Calendar Box Sections and Game/Toy 4 or 5 shelf sections have a Location Index and the Fixture Placement Map within the Planogram. For wall calendar sections please refer to the set up guide and store layout for wall calendar shelf placements. What to look for inside? 2 PLANOGRAM INSTRUCTIONS Fixture Requirements and Placement What s the Goal? The goal is that the correct fixtures are placed in the correct locations. Step 1 Fixture Requirements Product Section has a page that lists the fixtures that are required for it. The list includes the fixture image, fixture ID and quantity required. Gather the required fixtures in the quantity specified. Proceed to the next step. Step 2 Fixture Placement Overview: Using the Location Index and the Fixture Placement Map on each page, hang the required fixtures on the wall, floor, and end or tower section. The Fixture Location specified in the Location Index is as follows: Grid Fixtures The point where Horizontal Space letters meet the Vertical Bar numbers on the Fixture Placement Map. Place the LEFT HOOK of the required fixture in this location. Gunmetal Fixtures The vertical placement point equals the pin hole number. Place the PIN of the required fixture in this location. Location Index Overview: The Location Index is listed from top to bottom left to right in reference to the Placement Map. Begin with Placement #1 on the Location Index. a) Select the Required Fixture b) Identify the Fixture Location c) Hang the LEFT HOOK or PIN of the Required Fixture on the identified Fixture Location. d) Move on to the next Placement # and repeat b e until all placements are complete. e) You are now ready for the Product Requirements and Placement Instructions

3 PLANOGRAM INSTRUCTIONS Product Requirements and Placement What s the Goal? The goal is that the correct product is placed in the correct location Step 1 Product Requirements Overview: Using the Product Requirements and Location Index on each page gather the required product as specified. Step 2 Product Placement Using the Product Requirements, Location Index and the Product Placement Map on each page, place the product on the appropriate fixture. The Location is listed from top to bottom left to right in reference to the Placement Map. 1) Begin with Placement #1 on the Product Requirements & Location Index 2) Select the required product. 3) Identify the Product Location a) The product location is prefixed with the Horizontal Space Letter, followed by the Vertical Bar Number and then the shelf SKU indicator. b) Most product locations will have one SKU 4 6 deep. i) *There are exceptions see details on next page for when there is more than one SKU in a location and other special placement details. 4) Place the Required Product on the previously positioned Required Fixture. 5) Move on to the next placement # and repeat steps 2-5 until all placements are complete. Graphic Requirements and Placement What s the Goal? The goal is that the correct graphic is placed in the correct location Step 1 Fixture Requirements The fixtures that hold the graphics are included in the fixture pick. Please reference the Graphic Guide for specific placement of the fixtures for your store/kiosk type. Step 2 Graphic Placement Graphics are visually represented in the POG. Find the graphic indicated on the POG in the graphic kit sent to your store and place in that section. For more detailed instructions about the installation of graphics please reference the Graphic Guide. (The Graphic Guide is a separate booklet enclosed in the Store Support Box that gives detailed instructions and visuals on Graphic installation.) It is important that you understand the Location numbering logic in order to place the products on their locations in the correct sequence and depth. Do NOT overfill these locations, place overstock in store rooms and towers. The side by side is indicated with the last numbers (yellow highlight) Sequential last numbers 1,2,3 etc indicate full faced side by side placement. Green & Yellow Highlight: # 5 - E, 20-1 and #6 E, 20-1 The two SKU s indicated are to be placed on the same shelf One IN FRONT of the other. The IN FRONT/BEHIND is indicated with the last numbers (yellow highlight) When a location has multiple SKU s with the exact same location indicator it means that only one of the SKU s is full faced in the location, the others should be placed behind it. Please note that the visual side of the POG placement may not look exactly as it would when you place the SKU s as instructed above. Products may appear offset due to program constraints. Use the listed information in the grid (examples above) for exact product placement to insure the best visual appearance as above the product either goes side by side across a shelf or one in front of the other on the same shelf.

6 Product Placement Spine Stacked and Full Face Product Combined More than one SKU per Location See the examples below. It is important that you understand the Location numbering logic and the visual indicator in order to place the products on their locations in the correct orientation and sequence. Do NOT overfill or full face every product in these locations, place overstock in store rooms and towers. When the distance between shelves is tight to the product (as it is in the example between shelf 7 and 11) doubling of the SKU placement location indicates to place ONE IN FRONT OF THE OTHER. The Pink Highlighted numbers indicate that SIX SKU s fit on this shelf, HOWEVER they will only fit if you place #26 A,2-2 and #29 A,2-2 one on top of the other. As is #28 A,2-4 and #30 A,2-4. When the distance between shelves is large enough (as it is in the example between shelf 2 and 7) doubling of the SKU placement location indicates to place ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER. #23 A,7-6 is BEHIND #24 A,7-6 (Full Faced) To Spine Stack a product is to place its narrowest edge facing out in a horizontal position on the shelf. Like a book lying down. To Full Face Stack a product is to place its Face or front of the package facing out, while sitting ON TOP OF the Spine Stacked product beneath it. #26 A,2-2 Beatles The White Album Puzzle should be SPINE STACKED with #29 A,2-2 Beatles For Sale Puzzle Full Face Stacked ON TOP OF it. EXAMPLE of Spine Stack and Full Face Stack Please note that the visual side of the POG placement may not look exactly as it would when you place the SKU s as instructed above.
