6 Abel, you've broken Mum's favourite vase ; she's going to scold you. What about fixing it right away with glue? Let's pick up all the pieces and she won't notice anything.

7 What's going on down here? Mama asks... Of course, Mum was in the kitchen and after hearing a noise in the lobby she had guessed that something had been broken. Both Abel and Bellina remain silent. What have you done? WHO's been breaking my favourite vase? she asks with a quiet but threatening voice.

8 That's him! with a slipper! Bellina cries out pointing at her brother. She's lying! She's the one who asked to be hit! Abel shouts pointing at his sister. Sure, but not with a slipper, Bellina replies. I was forced into it because she was running so fast.

9 Enough! Mum says. WHO's the one who broke the vase? Reluctantly, Abel steps forward. It's me Mum', he sheepishly admits. I meant to throw your slipper at Bellina and the vase was on the way. I didn't mean to break it. I'm so sorry. Then, Bellina steps forward in turn. I'm responsible as well because we had been playing at «Catch me if you can!» and I challenged him into it.

10 I' m so sad and angry. You both know how much I liked that vase ; you should have played more quietly in order to prevent this.
