Informative and interesting. ~ Love it, so far ;) ~ Enjoy the articles very much - especially the recipes. ~ I enjoy this magazine very much. Even though I now live in the suburbs, I grew up rural and my first job was working on a farm and with horses and livestock. ~ Like that is about neighboring communities and persons living in area. ~ It s enjoyable to read some good news about people/happenings in the local area. ~ Very informative and entertaining. ~ It is very informative and I always read all pages. ~ I really like the local news coverage. I have learned a lot about the area from reading this section of the paper. ~ I don t read everything but have enjoyed many of the articles. ~ I glance at it and if there is something of interest to me I read it. ~ Find it very interesting ~ My in-laws, who spend 6 months in warmer climates, have asked us to send them our copy of Berks Country while they are away. They really enjoy reading it cover to cover. ~ You never know what to expect! A former student (self taught taxidermist) was featured a while back. Was interesting. I have found different information interesting. ~ I scan though it every week, read some articles. ~ I like the style and local pix. ~ Very good addition. I really enjoy reading it. ~ It s really interesting. ~ There is at least one article in every issue that interests us; often more than that. We discuss the horse doctor column. ~ I really enjoy the articles and especially the Floor Plans section. I love reading about other old houses and properties. I like to read about real people and the writer makes you feel welcome into each and every home she features. ~ Love it ~ It is a wonderful showcase for the positive things happening around our county. ~ This is a BIG plus!! The focus on our rural community is long overdue. ~ Bravo!!! ~ Keep them coming! ~ Considering that it is a new venture it is off to a good start and I hope that it continues to flourish. ~ I m a city guy but find many of the country stories intriguing. ~ I recently enjoyed the issue with the Farm Show story! I liked the behind-the-scenes stories about the people who work at the show. There were several interesting stories in that issue... including stories about a local family (the Squibbs) and their deer-eating experiences, a recipe for homemade sauerkraut, and another story which explained adding corn ethanol to gasoline. ~ I really enjoy it. Down to earth articles regarding the common folk. I also enjoy the write ups on how people upgrade/restore homes. ~ I pass many of them on to a relative in Lancaster County who is a Soil Scientist working in environmental consulting and nutrient management. A lot of the articles deal with farming and other areas of interest to him. Keep em coming!

3 ~ I read the stories that interest me. ~ I have enjoyed the magazine very much...in fact I look forward to each issue. ~ The publication is interesting, and I page through the entire section, usually reading at least one or two articles. ~ Some very interesting topics to read about. ~ Articles of interest are read through. Others are skimmed. ~ I like to see articles on farming and local activities. I enjoy the upbeat feel of that section and I use it to find things to do. ~ I don t always read everything, but always skim through it for items of interest. ~ I always enjoy reading Berks Country. It was a good addition to the Reading Eagle. ~ I love it in every way! ~ It s very enjoyable reading about local events. ~ Good features. ~ I get up 45 minutes early every day in order to read the entire newspaper before I go to work. If my carrier happens to be a little late with my paper, I go into withdrawal. ~ This is like having The Grit magazine come to the house every week! ~ This is the best part of my weekly paper! I love the columns by Dave Kline and Mike Slater! ~ I look forward to receiving it each week. ~ Really enjoy the featured home each week. ~ Read it cover to cover!! ~ Even though we live in the suburbs, driving several miles in any direction takes every citizen into The Country and into the midst of our biggest industry, agriculture. It is fascinating! ~ I look thru it, if something interests me, I will read it but I still page thru it. ~ It contains material that I relate to. ~ Really like the old home features - maybe some more pictures. ~ It is refreshing to read good news and I like the idea of sharing current events from a different source other than urban sprawl and development. Yes, we live in Lancaster County but do a lot our weekly business in Berks County. Also, I grew up there so I always enjoy reading anything I can about the area. This is the reason we get the Reading Eagle. ~ I read it every week but not always when it comes. it s one of the inserts I save and read when I have time. ~ A very good edition to your newspaper- we look forward to this every week! ~ Great writing.

If an article catches my eye I check it out. ~ Interesting to see how the other half live and work so hard. ~ This was a great addition to the EAGLE. ~ I like the Berks Country insert so much that I ve been keeping them. I usually know someone featured because it s about local folks. I especially enjoy the house that s featured each week. My granddaughter likes horses and the articles about them. I also look forward to the garden, nature, etc. articles. ~ Love calendar of events. ~ It is so fabulous that we mail that section to our grandson in Jacksonville, FL. He was in the Navy, got out 2 years ago and settled in Jacksonville. He loves the articles about the countryside he shared in his growing up years. Keep up the great work! ~ Keep up the good work. It has a lot of local articles and I enjoy reading it. ~ I find it very interesting never knew there were so many horse farms left in the area. ~ I like the info on history, garden tips, vet info. ~ I read it cover to cover, even though I haven t had a horse since ~ I think it is a wonderful paper. You get to hear about the things of interest to me. We are a rural family and love the Grange and agricultural articles. Keep them coming. ~ Will usually page through it to see if anything of interest. ~ This section has been a great improvement to the Reading Eagle. Excellent addition! ~ My wife and I think this is the best addition you have added to the newspaper in recent years. ~ Even though I have no interest in agriculture or farming, I really enjoy this new section of the paper. ~ Excellent source of local information and interest. ~ Since I was raised on a farm and my family still operates the farm I grew up on, I am still very interested in the farming community and know other farm families that have been featured in the is section. ~ The Reading Eagle keeps getting better and better with new ways to keep us informed and interested. ~ I do not read everything but usually find several interesting items. ~ I think it s a great addition to the Reading Eagle. Being an animal lover, I especially liked one of the first issues which was about the Working Farm Dogs! But, I have found something that I like in all of the issues, so keep them coming. 5 ~ Living in the beautiful Oley Valley, experiencing the wonderful country living, I look forward to Berks Country each week. Hardly a week goes by that one of the four township that make up the Oley Valley School District are not part of a news item in this publication. ~ I liked the sketch page and also the piece of plants. ~ Look forward to it every Wednesday. ~ I enjoy reading this booklet from cover to back each week. ~ Love it! Especially the country home interiors. ~ The best addition to the Reading Eagle to date! I love it. ~ I have found it to be an important section to read each week, just like your other special sections (business, weekend, and voices). ~ I do review it weekly. ~ My favorite is Ask the Horse Doctor. I m a horse owner and the Q&A s and suggestions are just wonderful. ~ I really like the articles. They are informative about a lifestyle I know nothing about but admire the courage of the farmers. ~ Am slightly interested. Check to see if anything is of special interest to me then read that item completely ~ I love Berks Country! Even thought I live in the suburbs and did not grow up on a farm, I enjoy it thoroughly and sometimes send articles, or even the whole issue to my brother who lives in Maine. (He loves it also and watches RFD-TV, which is available in his area.) Keep up the good work! ~ I truly enjoy the Berks Country, I am not a native of Berks but have been here 30+ years have tried to take an interest in the area. I especially have been enjoying the articles of Dave Kline. Keep up the good work. ~ Read it because I paid for it. ~ I love it! I live in the country and find the articles very interesting! ~ I read Berks Country weekly. ~ Very interesting. ~ We enjoy reading about Berks County s agricultural community. We miss the corn fields that used to be just up the street and the orchards where we took the kids to pick apples. It s good to know there are still working farms in the area. ~ I enjoy Michelle Lynch s pieces the most.

6 ~ Enjoy the home feature. There has been very interesting refurbished homes have been in so far. Amazing how many historical properties have been restored and made livable and feel comfy and inviting. Nice to see that rather than historical properties being destroyed or suffering in ill repair. ~ I think it is very interesting and allot of good information. ~ WE love the Berks Country, I can t wait for a Wednesday to read it. ~ A worthwhile interesting supplement. ~ Very, very interesting and informative. ~ We read the insert for information about county news and find the writers very interesting. ~ There is so much talent in our county that we are glad they get a chance to use their skills in this format. ~ It s important there is some sort of coverage outside the greater Reading area. ~ Given our location, history and culture, Berks Country is a very nice and appropriate addition to your paper. ~ I flip through it every week and look for articles of interest, so I read it a little more thoroughly some weeks. ~ My husband and I find the articles very interesting. We live in the Oley Valley and he grew up on a dairy farm in Oley. Our daughter-in-law owns horses and has been riding all her life. I share the publication with her. ~ Great addition to the newspaper. ~ I like the articles. ~ I look at it because it s there. ~ I skim through it unless something catches my eye then I will read what interests me. ~ I look forward to the regular columnists you are developing Dave Kline and Michelle Lynch, for instance. ~ I scan though it every time I get it, but I only read what interest me. ~ I at least skim through it each week to see what items are in it. ~ I love reading Berks Country. Living on a farm I can relate to many of the articles in this section and learn some good information. ~ The best newest edition in the last few years. ~ I mainly read articles of particular interest to me. ~ Stories have lots of merit, real people, not made up actors like on TV s reality shows. ~ Since we live on a dairy farm we are interested in this weekly story. Many of the people we know. We are interested in the issued of farm life since it is our life. ~ I read the entire section.

7 ~ I am amazed at the efforts of the Reading Eagle staff for their continual efforts in producing an outstanding product such as Berks Country. I have been a subscriber for over 42 years and I applaud your ongoing innovation. The newspaper and special inserts are worth much more than what I pay for the paper. ~ Look forward to Berks Country every week and I am disappointed if there is not a good and tasty food or nutrition feature or recipe within the pages. ~ I enjoy your Berks Country very much. ~ I actually look forward to this section of Wednesday s paper! ~ I enjoy the magazine a lot, it has much about Berks, and rural-farm life. ~ I enjoy the articles; it s something I m interested in. ~ Excellent project. ~ Actually I wanted to write to you to tell how much I like this addition to the newspaper. It took a couple of weeks until I actually read more than just the cover. But now I have found that I sometimes spend as much time reading the Country section as I do the rest of the paper. And being retired, it gives me reason to remember which day is Wednesday. ~ I browse through it t see what stories are of interest. ~ Informative and great publication! ~ When it first was inserted into the Wednesday paper, I read it cover to cover. Really enjoyed the articles. ~ I love reading about local items, events, etc. It is a pleasure to read good news! ~ I love having great hometown stories that aren t wrapped in the in the tragedies of the latest news. ~ Great addition to the Reading Eagle. It gives Reading and Berks County the real meaning of what they are. ~ Is enjoyable to read. ~ It is a nice, different type of addition to the Eagle. I enjoy reading it. ~ We really enjoy this feature. I know other people (who do not have access to a computer) have spoken highly about this feature. Thanks! ~ Great insight in what is happening in the rural areas of our county. ~ I look forward to reading Berks Country! ~ I feel that while all of the articles do not pertain to me, it is nevertheless a very worthwhile publication. ~ This is a great publication which I take time to read. I find the article about the home each week very interesting and look forward to the next story. There have been many articles that feature stories about businesses and people in the Boyertown area which I appreciate and can relate to. I notice that there are ads for businesses in this area as well. Jim Davidheiser is doing a great job. Keep up the good work. BTW... each week I pass this section and the Business booklet along to my son and daughter-in-law who also look forward to reading it. ~ I look forward to Wednesday s newspaper because of Berks Country. ~ I LOVE IT!

Thank you. ~ The addition of this publication is a plus as there are a great deal of articles that interest me. ~ Berks Country is something that I look forward to getting in my Wednesday paper, usually read that before the rest of the paper. it is well worth the publication to me ~ Enjoy it. ~ It is a quality product. ~ My husband LOVES this addition to the Reading Eagle. ~ I thoroughly enjoy reading this section. My mother grew up on a farm, and I still have cousins who farm. I like to garden. I use some of the recipes. It s a great addition to your newspaper. ~ I think it is a terrific addition to the newspaper. ~ I look through entire section and then pick an article or two and check the calendar. Coming from the city I enjoy leisurely reading parts of the county insert. ~ I particularly like the articles about some of the old houses featured. I live in a Victorian clapboarded sided house and I love to see what others are doing with their homes. ~ I love this section. I look forward to it each week. ~ We always find something interesting in the publication. ~ Refreshing, original, and interesting stories/articles. ~ I peruse rather than read. But I do look through the entire section. ~ I enjoy and look forward to this supplement. ~ I enjoy reading the Berks Country insert. It is interesting getting a different viewpoint on a variety of topics. ~ As a Master Gardener, I really enjoy the articles by Mike Slater and Gloria Day. It s also nice to know about other things in the farming community. I have cut out and saved several articles for future reference, such as the good, concise article on Poinsettias. I think Berks Country is a great addition to the Reading Eagle. ~ Thank you for Berks Country - I look forward to Wednesday s edition and read BC first. ~ Farm events, old houses, nature recipes, spotlight on farm youth, nature, it s all great. ~ Great, all articles are good, DAVE KLINE. Excellent job. ~ Love it! Finally some news on the rest of the county. It s a wonderful positive addition to the Reading Eagle. ~ I at least page through it, but usually don t read the whole publication. ~ Read is an overstatement. It is more like peruse. ~ Page through it to see what interests me. ~ A great addition to the newspaper! ~ I really enjoy reading this weekly addition! It truly enlightens the public to the down home side of Berks County living. ~ I really like the local stories, Dave Kline s articles especially. And Michelle Lynch articles. ~ I love it. 9 ~ Interesting coverage of areas Eagle has not devoted space to. ~ Every article is great. ~ Although I am not engaged in farming, many of the articles show an insight into what farmers these days are facing. I find that very interesting. ~ It is an excellent addition to the paper. ~ I read every page because it a good source of Berks county news. It is much more different than the daily news paper. Which I also read every page. ~ I enjoy it whether the cover story interests me or not. ~ Love this supplement. Thanks for providing it. ~ Always at least page through it to see if I want to read any articles. ~ Being raised in the city, I find the new section an informative tool for learning more about rural life. ~ It s about time farmers get the attention, respect, and appreciation they deserve. ~ Those of us in rural Berks County are glad to see a section of the Reading Eagle that focuses on those of us outside the city of Reading and its suburbs. Thank you. ~ I really like Mike Slater s articles! ~ I ve been meaning to write to you about this excellent weekly product called Berks Country since it started. I quit farming a while ago, and also quit as a subscriber to Lancaster Farming I enjoyed that paper very much. I missed it. Now, Berks Country fills the bill! ~ I like it better because it s a lot like LF, except is dedicated to this area. ~ Interesting articles. ~ This has been a wonderful addition to the newspaper. We look forward to reading it every week. Keep up the great stories. ~ I really enjoy and look forward to the nature and outdoor articles especially Mike Slater.
