1 Clara-Nicole She s Crafty Too Creators Digest Christmas Mantel The design for the Christmas Mantel didn t come to me right away when I was asked to collaborate on The Creators Digest project. In fact, I had a whole other color scheme in mind and theme when I headed to the store. I was going to use a Vintage Truck sign I had made and use that as the main focal piece on that mantel and then use traditional Christmas colors with a woodsy theme. My heart was set on using that Vintage Truck sign. I decided if this was going to be something anyone can do, I needed to use products that people could buy now and run out and get at the stores or purchase online.

2 I went LIVE on my Facebook page as I walked into Kirkland s. I usually like to have my FB friends shop with me LIVE because they either encourage me to buy more, or tell me to put things back so I don t get in trouble with the hubby. HAHA! Together, we walked around the store looking for items to buy to use on my mantel that would go with my vintage truck sign. I noticed there was this Big Shiplap Christmas Sign with GLITTER that was speaking to me. I zoomed in and asked my friends LIVE if we needed to shift directions and go with a more elegant scheme and use that sign as our focal piece. The answer was YES! Ironically, right next to that big Christmas sign, was a beautiful tall angel that melted my heart. For those that know and have followed me for awhile, I ve often talked about my baby girl in Heaven whom is now 19yrs old. I don t have a picture of her so I include her around my home with angel, feather or wing décor that I can find. I have a testimony that I ve shared many times of the time I saw her in Heaven in a dream God allowed me to have and she was beautiful and all grown up. So anything that has to do with angels, feathers, and wings I tend to be attracted to. I ve also had many visions of 12-15ft tall angels during worship service at church and they indeed are very majestic and jaw dropping to see. They carry mighty bright swords and even blast gold glitter at people that contain restoration, healing, blessings, answered prayers and more. It s very awesome to witness and I m so glad that as a Christian, I ve encountered these visions many times. So that s another reason why I love angel themed décor around the home. This mantel design that was now coming to me was going to be more than just a mantel, but something that would tell a story for me personally that I could share with everyone. As a creative, our minds are always going in so many directions and its hard to contain it all and stay in a box. Many times, the pieces we design have inspiration and stories behind them but it took many directions before we came to a final look. My mantel design was inspired by my baby girl and my encounters with angels and I hope you love the finished look.

5 This Large Christmas Sign does not appear on the website and I ve looked all over for it online for a link. I m afraid this is one of those items that can only be purchased IN STORE at Kirklands. I also do not have an item # you can reference to. My suggestion is call your local Kirklands and ask them for the very large Christmas Gold Glittery sign that looks like shiplap and has a white frame. I ve also seen this exact sign in store but with the word LOVE I did find another sign option that I was also eyeing that you could also use in place of. Again, don t stress about getting exact items pictured. If you love a different sign, use it. I love that this Come let us Adore Him sign lights up and it s a pretty good size for main focal piece.
