Whenever possible, we have listed suggested substitute items if no exact EECO equivalent is available. This guide is divided into two sections. First, there is a Quick Cross- Reference which lists competitive and EECO switches, series by series. If there is an equivalent EECO product, complete details can be found in the individual listings in the second section. Always feel free to contact your local EECO sales representative or the factory directly if you need additional assistance. EECO QUICK CROSS-REFERENCE GUIDE The following lists the most common switch products offered by various manufacturers, and their EECO equivalent. See the individual manufacturer s section for additional details. 4 ITT/C & K CD/CRD SERIES Vs. EECO MICRO-DIP CROSS-REFERENCE INFORMATION EECO offers four different series of the rotary DIP switch: the 2300 Series (double pole and right angle), the 3500 Series (high temperature, sealed), 4500 Series (ultra low profile, sealed) and the 4700 Series (surface mount). ITT/C & K offer two models with some, but not all, options offered by EECO. The two ITT/C & K versions are very similar to each other, differing in size. The CRD series is 10 mm, while the CD series is a slightly smaller 8 mm. Both series have a.100 x.300 footprint, as does EECO. All top adjust units of similar code are interchangeable between the various series. Right angle versions manufactured by EECO and other suppliers have unique terminal configurations, and are generally not interchangeable. Unless otherwise noted, all series are permanently sealed for wave soldering, typically with an integral O-ring on the shaft and epoxy sealed terminals. Terminal spacing and pin-out sequence follows the EECO layout. This is an advantage to EECO, as EECO will fit the ITT/C & K dual hole pattern, but the ITT/C & K unit will not fit the EECO single row of terminals pattern. *Consult the factory for assistance in cross-referencing these items. 9

12 ITT/C & K 3M Vs. EECO 2100/2700 STRIPSWITCH The ITT/C & K 3M Series is sold as individual switches, while the EECO Stripswitch is available as multi-station assemblies. Also, the ITT/C & K 3M is red with a black thumbwheel, and limited to 10-position codes. The ITT/C & K F sealed option is a removable plastic cap similar to the 2300 GP Series. 14 ITT/C & K 3 SERIES Vs. EECO THUMBWHEEL CROSS-REFERENCE INFORMATION ITT/C & K produces switches similar to EECO s thumbwheel and Stripswitch. ITT/C & K generally identifies all their coded switches as part of the 3 Series. Certain designators in the part number define the switch size, mounting style, etc. The one exception is the ITT/C & K SR/SF thumbwheel series, which was acquired as part of ITT/C & K s purchase of Unimax Corporation several years ago. Contact the EECO factory for additional assistance with C & K/Unimax switches. ITT/C & K 3 Series Thumbwheel Switches A. ITT/C & K Part Numbering System The ITT/C & K numbering system covers a variety of codes, mounting styles, switch sizes and other configurations under one basic series part number. ITT/C & K can supply.500 wide rear mount switches by adding a.150 spacer to each switch section. 3. ITT/C & K can offer terminations to copy the pin-out of other manufacturers. Contact the factory for additional assistance. 4. Optional lighting is accomplished by colored LED. EECO uses T1 lamps for illumination. 5. 3M Series are listed under 2100/2700 Stripswitch. 14

This cross-reference is limited to termination styles 0 (standard) and 1 (diode provision). The EECO 1776 has metal solder tabs, but is an acceptable substitute for other termination styles. Consult the factory for assistance. Note that the ITT/C & K switch is not a true.500 wide unit, but actually consists of one.350 wide switch and one.150 wide spacer to equal.500 switch spacing. This cross-reference lists only ITT/C & K items with mounting style 24 which matches the standard EECO panel cutout. ITT/C & K also offers a narrower, three hole end piece identified as mounting style 14. EECO can provide a similar three-hole end piece to duplicate the existing panel cutout.
