2 About Us Contents Donegal Bees started from a small seed. Thomas began by making CDB hives in a small shed for some neighbours and friends and over time realised that it was quite expensive for the small beekeeper to purchase quality beehives and beekeeping equipment in Ireland. After much discussion over many years we decided in 2013 that it was time to establish Donegal Bees. Our main goal is to make beekeeping more affordable for everyone. ith the help of great support and loyalty from our customers we have grown to become one of the largest suppliers of beekeeping equipment. In 2018 we continue to bring you our full range of high quality equipment and have also added over 100 new products to our catalogue. e are delighted to introduce a new range of beesuits called Nifty Beewear which are made in our workshop in Donegal. See page 22 for details. e have also purchased a brand new foundation machine which from September 2018 will allow us to produce beeswax here in Ireland for our customers. Our excellent wax exchange service gives customers the opportunity to exchange their raw beeswax for foundation sheets (see pages 16 and 17).
