The versatility of the material coupled with its international design appeal makes Lamontage rugs at home in institutions such as the Rubin Museum and Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the Mondrian Hotel in California, the Tomorrowland Department Store in Japan, and some of the most exclusive nightclubs around the world. Lamontage is a patented design process developed by Liora Manné that combines handmade artistry with high tech processing. Synthetic fibers are intricately structured and layered by hand, and then mechanically interlocked by needle-punching to create the design. The material is then treated with a special finish that includes antimicrobial nano silver particles that will never wash out. This increases durability, and prevents the growth of mold and mildew, making the rugs ideal for indoor and outdoor use. About our designer Born in Israel, educated in the United State and now a true New Yorker, lifestyle products designer Liora Manné has been a study in breaking the rules from early in her career.

Then a textile design class at North Carolina State University changed the course of her career. She became fascinated by the potential impact of cutting edge technology on textile design.

28 About our designer Born in Israel, educated in the United State and now a true New Yorker, lifestyle products designer Liora Manné has been a study in breaking the rules from early in her career. After graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in journalism and drama, Liora was anticipating a life in the theatre. Then a textile design class at North Carolina State University changed the course of her career. She became fascinated by the potential impact of cutting edge technology on textile design. Her explorations resulted in ground-breaking advances while she pursued a master s degree in both textile design and textile engineering. From her beginnings as a textiles designer, she soon gravitated towards home fashion in general and rugs in particular. Her entry into the area rug business truly changed the directions of the industry. Bold, contemporary colors sparked a revolution in a category dominated by traditions. Today, the Liora Manné Lifestyle Collection is featured worldwide and includes over 2,700 items ranging from ceramics to handbags. We are proud to showcase Liora s unique talents throughout our line.
