ANSWER SHEET Welcome to Puzzled Pint! The story of tonight: your packet contains four puzzles. Each will solve to a word, short phrase, or name. You do not need to solve these puzzles in order.

1 ANSWER SHEET Welcome to Puzzled Pint! The story of tonight: your packet contains four puzzles. Each will solve to a word, short phrase, or name. You do not need to solve these puzzles in order. When you ve solved all four puzzles, confirm your answers with Game Control (GC) and you ll get the final meta-puzzle, which requires the previous answers to solve. Puzzling Basics If you re joining us for the first time, please read the Puzzling Basics introduction page by visiting or scanning the QR code to the left. Note the How to solve section that discusses techniques like indexing and using the code sheet, which should have been provided along with your packet. Puzzled Pint is not a competitive event. We encourage you to ask GC for hints as often as you d like. Our goal is for you to have fun, not to be frustrated! Use of the internet is completely allowed and even expected for occasional trivia lookups. And you can always ask GC for clarification on anything! When you re all finished, please answer the Question of the Month below and then return this answer sheet to Game Control, along with your code sheet and any borrowed items like pencils, tape, or scissors. Returning your answer sheet with an accurate count of your team size will allow us to make sure that we have enough space for everyone at our venues in future months and that we have enough puzzle packets available. Help them organize their men, and then see if you can find someone who can help them to mend the situation. Washington wants to set up his troops such that all open squares on the battlefield are within the line of sight of a soldier. Each soldier is capable of seeing all squares vertically and horizontally until his view is obstructed by a tree, tent (British or American), or cannon. There are certain rules Washington wishes to follow: There are only 15 soldiers total. No soldier should be able to see another soldier within his line of sight. Each American tent is required to have exactly one soldier adjacent to it. Each cannon requires exactly two soldiers adjacent to it No soldiers should be placed directly adjacent to any British tents. Adjacent = directly above, below, to the right or to the left (NOT diagonal). Once the soldiers are in position, they should carefully listen to all sounds and instructions and follow them to the letter. There are 7 British ships total. Each American ship has a number on it that tells you how many British ships it can see horizontally and vertically.

To prevent collisions, no two ships touch, regardless of whether they are British or American (including diagonally).
