1 2017 Statewide Watercraft Inspection & Decontamination Stations Stations are listed in alphabetical order. Stations listed are issuing and accepting green seals from other state-authorized inspection locations. Seals will be issued upon the completion of inspections or decontaminations upon exiting reservoirs, CPW offices and private service providers. A green seal expedites the inspection process greatly, but boaters with seals still have to stop at the inspection station and have the seal verified by an inspector prior to launching. Remember to request your green seal when leaving your favorite lake or reservoir to ensure a quicker launch next time you boat! Clean, Drained and Dry boats go through inspection and get on the water much faster! NOTE: In 2017, all ballast boats, Inboard and Inboard/Outboard engines must have a green seal in between launches or decontamination may take place prior to launching. No swimming, wading, tubing, belly boating, wind surfing, and scuba diving allowed. Basically no body contact with the water. Boats cannot be left overnight at the facility. Special Considerations: Eurasian Watermilfoil, an aquatic noxious weed, is present is Arvada Blunn Reservoir. All boats must be inspected prior to exit and must remove all plant material. 2 Special Considerations: Boat operators at this reservoir will pay a one-time fee of $10 to obtain a Watercraft Access Pass for every vehicle towing or otherwise transporting any boat or watercraft to the reservoirs. Watercraft Access Pass is valid at both Aurora & Quincy Reservoirs. All portable gas tanks must be removed prior to launch. Contact Information: Bear Creek Lake Park (303) Blue Mesa Reservoir (Gunnison County) Open/Close Date: Closed once the ramps ice over Hours of Operation: October 1st - 9 th : Lake Fork, Elk Creek and Iola ramps are open 7am to 6:30pm. Iola closes for the season at 6:30pm on Monday October 9th. Lake Fork and Elk Creek ramps remain open daily from 7:00am to 6:30pm through Oct 31st. Beginning November 1 st, boat inspections for Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) at Curecanti National Recreation Area will be available to boaters on a call-in basis. Inspections can be requested by calling the Blue Mesa AIS Inspection phone at (970) between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., 7 days a week. Blue Mesa Staff will aim for a 20 minute response time to boat ramps, so call ahead to meet the inspector at the ramp where you intend to launch. 2

3 Road/bridge construction and weather conditions may add significant delays to responses so boaters should plan ahead if construction is still in progress. Boaters are reminded that inspections are required for launch and retrieval and ramps are locked, so calling for an inspection is required for each launch and retrieval.call-in inspections will be available at Elk Creek and Lake Fork boat ramps until ice precludes launching at each site. Those two boat ramps will not be plowed, though the adjacent parking areas will be cleared of snow as quickly as possible. Ramps can become extremely icy in freezing conditions. Please ensure that you have the proper equipment to retrieve your vessel considering these factors. Due to freezing temperatures, decontamination will not be available; boats requiring decontamination may be denied launch.
