3 Qualifications: (hereafter Laboratory) is a full service Industrial Hygiene laboratory Accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). Our staff includes specialists in Analytical, Applied, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry of the highest qualifications. Standard NIOSH and OSHA methods are the backbone of our analytical services, but other standard techniques are also evaluated by request. The Laboratory also develops analytical methods and has expertise in validating custom tailored analysis. For analytes, which are not listed in the fee schedule, please contact the OSHTECH Laboratory for a quote. Laboratory Policies: Laboratory operates according to AIHA and ISO/IEC requirements. To order sampling media or sampling equipment, please use Rental Agreement form. All samples submitted to OSHTECH Laboratory must be accompanied by Chain of Custody form. Most NIOSH and OSHA methods require analysis of at least one field blank sample with every batch of samples submitted for analysis. Some methods cannot be performed without blanks. Please include blank(s) in your batch. Blank samples are analysed the same way as regular samples, and are subject to the regular analytical charges. If a field blank is not provided with the samples a lab blank will be used (if available) and will be charged accordingly. Laboratory standard turnaround time is 10 business days or less. RUSH 24-hour or 48-hour service is usually possible. Please contact laboratory to confirm availability of Rush service before sending samples. A surcharge of 100% will be added to the listed fee for 24-hour rush analysis and 50% surcharge for 48-hour turnaround. Laboratory retains unused samples and extracts for 3 months. During this period samples are available for re-examination. Please note that it is impossible to achieve a 100% preservation of used samples due to naturally occurring aging of the solutions and loss of volatile components. If you think that samples might require re-analysis, please contact laboratory as soon as possible. Laboratory retains laboratory reports, chromatograms, charts and laboratory notes for 3 years. Prices are given in Canadian funds per sample. These include analytical fees, report, and all associated disbursements. Fees are subject to change without notice. Additional Services: Multiple parameters and analyses. Multiple compounds often can be collected and analyzed from the same sample (tube or filter). In addition, several samples can be collected simultaneously using sophisticated sampling trains and custom-made media. For these and other cost effective approaches, please call us to discuss. Sampling supplies, equipment and media rental program is available. By request, we will calibrate and deliver your sampling pumps and the necessary media. Page 2 of 15 Phone: (519)
