5 FloraCraft Project Sheets Page 2 Read-And-Grow Bookworm: Here s a fun way to encourage reading! Begin by painting one 3-inch ball of STYROFOAM* black. Use chenille stems for antennae and a smile, glue on wiggle eyes, and paint cheeks to complete your bookworm s head and face. Next, paint a selection of 2½-inch STYROFOAM* balls in a variety of bold, bright colors to create body segments. Each time your child finishes a book, add a segment to the bookworm. Write book titles on the segments, or attach titles typed or written on decorative paper. Tree Frog: Although it s not easy being green, making this little green fellow isn t hard at all.
