2 ABOUT The DEPARTMENT The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering came into existence at the faculty of Engineering in 2009 at JCT. The Electronics and communication Engineering has 116 students and 14 qualified faculty members. The Department has been provided with 6 labs worth of 50 lakhs and led By Prof. V.Lakshmipathi. Rapidly changing needs of telecommunication industry coupled with indispensible need for Electronics has fabricated this specific branch of recent times. Apart from the prescribed curriculum, students at JCT are kept in close contact with the industry to make them capable of talking their professional challenges with else. The Department Of Electronics and Communication Engineering, imparts maximum knowledge to students and nourishes them to capable engineer with high level of talent, professional ethics and creativity. The major goal of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is to produce highly knowledgeable, competent and resourceful young engineers who can perform well in a wide variety of job profiles. To achieve this, curriculum provides a strong foundation in both the analytic and technological aspects of E&C Engineering. It also provides ample opportunities to students to work on miniprojects, develop communication skills, explore internship opportunities in industry and world-class universities and take part in national and international design contests..

3 Vision The Vision for ECE department is to impart technical education theoretically and practically with high pattern of discipline through our dedicated staffs who shall set global standards, making our students technologically superior and ethically strong, who in turn shall improve the quality of life of the human race. To excel in education and research in Electronics & Communication Engineering To develop centre s of excellence in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering and produce outstanding & meritorious engineers driven by hard work. To provide the leaders in the field of Electronics and communication Engineering with initiative and character in order to meet the most onerous challenges in Industry, by widening the horizon of knowledge through Study, Research and Multi Skill development in order to serve the poor and the marginalized of our nation and clients in the global community.

To provide concept oriented technical knowledge through high quality teaching supplemented with practical training to prepare high caliber Electrical engineers to take on challenging tasks facing society. The Department shares the mission of the College in imparting quality technical education with expertise training and value added teaching in the field of Electronics & Communication to instill a passion for knowledge, research and remarkable career in students for their professional as well as personal growth. To provide the students an environment of academic freedom that will insure the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of knowledge in this discipline through effective teaching. It infuses the scientific temper in the students towards the research in Electronics and communication engineering. It strives to establish incubation centre s for research in VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Communications, and Image Processing & Signal Processing with an offer for consultancy services to industries. To educate the students with the state of art technologies to meet the growing challenges of the industry. To carry out research through constant interaction with research organizations and industry.
