2 Open Living Lab Days 2018 Living Labs (LLs) are deined as user-centred, open innovation ecosystems based on a systematic user co-creation approach. It integrates research and innovation processes in real lie communities. LLs are both practice-driven organisations as well as real-lie environments. LLs operate as intermediaries among citizens, research organisations, companies and cities or joint value co-creation, rapid prototyping or validation to scale up innovation. Living Labs are spread everywhere around Europe and rallied to the same association: the European Network o Living Lab (ENoLL). Open Living Lab Days is the annual summit o the worldwide Living Lab community. The annual 4 days event includes interactive sessions, workshops, lively discussion panels with excursions and o-site visits with the aim o giving the participants a wider insight about models, theories and technologies related to Living Labs. Participants have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience rom the leading experts on the subject and to network with other Living Lab. Since 2010, The Open Living Lab Days have been held in dierent country: Krakow (2017), Montreal (2016), Istanbul (2015), Amsterdam (2014), Manchester (2013), Helsinki (2012), Barcelona (2011) and Paris (2010). The 9th edition o the Open Living Lab Days will take place rom Wednesday 22 nd August to Friday 24 th August in Geneva. 4 Organizers 1) European Network o Living Lab (ENoLL) ENoLL is the international ederation o benchmarked Living Labs in Europe and worldwide. Founded in November 2006, it counts today over 150 active Living Labs members worldwide. ENoLL provides co-creation, user engagement, test and experimentation acilities targeting innovation. The ENoLL international non-proit association, as the legal representative entity o the network, is headquartered in Brussels, at the heart o Europe. 2) Genève Lab Genève Lab was oicially launched October 2016 and assigned the main mission to support the State o Geneva's administration through its digital transormation. To accomplish its mission, Genève Lab operates on a participative approach inspired by living lab methodologies. As a Living Lab dedicated to public sector initiatives, Genève Lab is in direct contact with more than 40 public administration oices o the State o Geneva and ailiated para-public organizations such as the hospitals, the utilities, the public transport authority, the airport, as well as the public administrations o 45 municipalities o the canton o Geneva, including the City o Geneva. 5 3) The HES-SO o Switzerland with Energy Living Lab The HES-SO is a leading hub o skills and innovation, preparing students or the world o work, and contributing both to economic and social development and to the creation o jobs. Energy Living Lab is a pilot project o the HES-SO, brought together public institutions, businesses and users to imagine and co-develop new viable energy solutions. This ecosystem was set up in 2013 in Chablais, the irst living lab in Frenchspeaking Switzerland in energy. Its purpose is to enlarge its scope o actions in order to integrate a greater number o actors in French-speaking Switzerland. 4) University o Geneva (UNIGE) and its CUI - mqol Living Lab The University o Geneva is dedicated to thinking, teaching, dialogue and research. With students o more than 150 dierent nationalities, it is Switzerland s second largest university. It oers more than 500 programmes and 300 continuing education programmes covering an extremely wide variety o ields: exact sciences, medicine, social sciences, law, etc. CUI - mqol Living Lab is a large-scale, participatory sensing lab or research on mobile communications and computing models, algorithms and rameworks conducted by the Quality o Lie group members at the Institute o Services Science, Center or Inormatics o University o Geneva.
