18 UM ii outcomes UMii cities belong to a global network They can: o participate to UMii Forum activities (next Forum, 17/05/17 in Montréal) o exchange via dedicated LinkedIn group o share by using news feed of dedicated website and twitter account o Connect with UITP & FCC broader networks Urban Mobility Innovation Report to help city administrations to improve mobility experiences for their citizens by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship Policy Paper based on the findings, informing policy makers on key challenges and opportunities and recommending lines of action to improve urban innovation ecosystems UMii preliminary results to be presented at the Global Public Transport Summit in Montréal, May 2017.

19 UM ii & SUMP o UMii aims at inspiring a systematic way to think through possibilities for inter-city cooperation and partnership with private and multilateral sectors o Indicators used in UMii do not equate to competitive metrics but rather offer bridges for cities to find common challenges, and offer shared solutions, to the transportation problems affecting cities today o UMii looks at measurable KPIs to evaluate the «Readiness» of the city s strategy for innovation. o Cities can use UMii indicators for their SUMP to assess: the «innovation» part of their plan other dimensions in a SUMP

20 UM ii - examples of indicators for SUMP Within the READINESS dimension: o SOUNDNESS indicator assesses how data is used to inform and enable mobility-enhancing innovation in the city. It looks at the maturity of the data collection processes used by the city, the accessibility and the usability of this data. In the LIVEABILITY dimension, most the indicators could be used in a SUMP: o SEAMLESSNESS indicator assesses how seamless and integrated the transport systems and services are, how easy they are to use. o WELLBEING and ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE are also useful indicators for SUMP.
