2 Strategy + the basis for the decision Transformation of acquisition policy 30 % of the books purchased during the last 3 years (Science/Health) have never been borrowed! Patron driven acquisition Increased use of electronic items (statistics + user readiness) Accessibility: Books are always available + remote access First movers with PDA (Patron Driven Acquisition) Cutbacks reduction of staff and adjustment of activities to lower level of resources. No acquisition by subject specialists.

3 Political acceptance Stakeholders The Faculties of Science and Health at the University of Copenhagen. The Royal Library, KB/CULIS/ The Faculty Library of Natural and Health Sciences (N/S) Annual Agreement 2011 Overall N/S will focus on transforming to a 100 % digital library during the course of the next 3 years. Trial period with patron driven acquisition Just in Time, instead of Just in Case LIFE, PHARMA + SOC Economics Have chosen to participate in the project. Status 2013 HUM + SOC participating with % of their budgets
