1 SHAPING TRANSPORTATION JUNE 2013, LONDON With Shaping Transportation the PTV Group introduces a new event format which will extend the traditional international PTV Vision Traffic User Group Meeting. From 18th to 19th of June the world s foremost transport policy thinkers, shapers and decision makers as well as our software users will meet in London to discuss how to develop mobility in a sustainable way Shaping Transportation features presentations and workshops related to mobility, transportation planning and delivering. THE CONFERENCE - 18TH JUNE The first day of the conference will be dedicated to transport-related discussions: Transport ministers, high professionals for Transport of London (TfL), the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and others will explore the interplay of policy and planning and the consequences of the growing demand for urban transport. Moreover, they will discuss the role of different modes of transport and give an outlook of how urban transport can be sustainably developed. INTERNATIONAL UGM - 19TH JUNE The second day will focus on the traditional international PTV Vision Traffic User Group Meeting. The speakers will provide insight into current projects and how computer-based planning supports their achievements. The wide range of issues covers strategic transportation planning as well as real-time simulation and traffic forecasts as part of traffic management. Numerous workshops will offer attendees the opportunity to explore PTV s software solutions and to learn more about the new release PTV Vissim 6.0. All presentations will be given in English.

PTV Vissim Beginner Introducing PTV Vissim. Training with Sven Beller, PTV Group You will learn how to build a basic microsimulation model with PTV Vissim. This includes general program handling, base data supply, vehicle demand definition and building a network infrastructure. PTV Vissim Advanced VAP/VisVAP: Signalized intersections. Training with George Lunt and Andy McGregor, AECOM In the "PTV Vissim Advanced" course, modeling different types of actuated traffic control systems is taught. In this session you will learn to use VAP/VisVAP to design and test vehicle actuated controllers for signalized intersections. VAP/VisVAP: Motorway control. Training with George Lunt and Andy McGregor, AECOM In the "PTV Vissim Advanced" course, modeling different types of actuated traffic control systems is taught. In this session, the use of VAP/VisVAP for the design of motorway control systems is explained by the means of typical examples (speed control and route guidance). Johannes Schlaich, PTV Group You will learn how to handle the network objects and the processing of demand matrices. Moreover, operating various graphical analyses and evaluations is in the focus.
