8 SATELLITES 1.2 PRODUCTS 2014: Rosetta s Philae probe made the first-ever landing on a comet when it touched down on Comet 67P/Churyumov Gerasimenko. Between the main players, two member companies of the Cluster: Selex-ES: developer of drill space and Rosetta s solar panels, the largest ever built for a scientific mission. Politecnico di Milano: developer of SD2 drill mounted on Philae lander. Thales Alenia Space Italy: responsible for spacecraft assembly, integration and testing (AIT) of the probe. LISA pathfinder inertial sensor was delivered to CGS- Compagnia Generale per lo Spazio in Milano. LISA is a crucial experiment which will enable scientists to detect gravitational waves in space.
