Team Dark Horse, won Power Pitch Award at Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge , held at NASA Kennedy Space Center in April Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge in an international student s innovation competition, held every year by Conrad Foundation, in honor of Astronaut Pete Conrad at NASA s Kennedy Space Center.

9 Our 2017 success! Team SpaceVille, of kids under 10 years old mentored by us for 2017 NASA Ames Space Settlement Challenge, a global space settlement design contest secured 2 nd Prize globally among 1500 teams and 6000 contestants. This team of kids have designed a low cost, (under $10,000) satellite launching system and are filing patent for their invention along with 2 other patents. A team we mentored in 2016 won FIRST prize in Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge Award conducted recently at Kennedy Space Center, NASA in Health and Nutrition Category They are now recognized as Pete Conrad Scholars named after Astronaut Charles Pete Conrad; 3 rd man to land on moon.

20 Finally, who will mentor? World renowned aerospace scientist. Inventor of GRIPS, a technology to prevent aircraft accident which was acclaimed worldwide. Has extensive experience working on defense (missile target tracking system), aerospace and mission critical embedded systems. 22 How much will it cost? The mentorship is FREE, however for the program to be self sustainable, parents are required to bear only the COST involved in the entire process AND a small contributions towards those bright kids who cannot afford (and in respect of mentor s FREE efforts and time for your child). If the allotted funds are not utilized, it ll be used as scholarship funds for next year deserving kids. If your kid is in need of scholarship, we welcome him to attend information session and mention that in registration form. We normally offer scholarship to kids whose parent s income is <$30/hr. Total cost is $2000 (see breakdown below) which is to be paid during registration. You may pay in one go or various post dated checks as per your convenience. 1. Cost of filing provisional patents, technology, components & external consulting ( $1200/child as filing patent is very costly) 2. Mentor s Travel, Conveyance, Venue & Miscellaneous Cost ($300/child mentor will travel from Irving, TX at least twice every month) 3. Scholarship fund for those who cannot afford (every year almost 50% of kids are on mentor s tab - $500/child)
