3 HISTORY Grotefeld Kunststofftechnik has been a reliable supplier to the window industry for more than 20 years. It all started in 1987 when Hans Dieter Grotefeld founded a small company in a converted farmhouse together with two partners. They began with a single machine, producing high-quality injection moulded parts. The necessary tools and moulds were built in cooperation with a partner company. In addition to the production of the tools, moulds and injection moulded parts, extra hands were needed for the assembly and delivery of the products and Hans Dieter Grotefeld was always able to rely on the support of his family. In 1988, the continued success of Grotefeld Kunststofftechnik made it necessary to expand the company: The first staff were employed and the company moved into larger production facilities. Further expansion measures were conducted in 1989 and marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the company: Hans Dieter Grotefeld became the sole owner of the company and organised the long-overdue move into the company's own larger facilities. Since the founding of the company, Hans Dieter Grotefeld has always been committed to the development of new products and the continuous improvement of existing products. His pioneering spirit is demonstrated by the large number of patents the company has been granted. This can save you time and money. The tools and moulds needed for your order are made in our own tool and mould design department using the latest CNC and CAM technology. The manufacturing programs created in the design department are directly transmitted to the machines. The steel for making the tools and moulds is selected according to the requirements of the final product to ensure optimal injection moulding results and service life, leading to precision tools and moulds of the highest quality.
