2 Who we are Pokolm Frästechnik GmbH & Co. KG stands for the development and manufacture of innovative, high-quality tooling systems and for competence in application consulting for the milling of complex geometries. The company is qualified for the tool and mould making industry as well as the metal processing industry as an internationally oriented and reliable partner with comprehensive service. Founded in 1994, the company now has about onehundred employees. Pokolm, with its head office located in Harsewinkel in East Westphalia, is known as a reliable employer and as a modern training organisation. At the same time, the certainty of solid and steady growth characterises the future of the company. For instance the introduction of milling cutter bodies and inserts in metric dimensions, while common today, has considerably simplified the calculation of relevant values. In addition, the embedded insert seat, which has in the meantime become the standard, is a design characteristic that is attributable to the innovative power of Pokolm Frästechnik. The patented DuoPlug system is considered the industry's perfect shrink/thread connection between the tool and the arbor, with high concentricity and significantly increased retention forces. One current milestone in milling technology is the SPINWORX time-saving tooling system with self-rotating inserts.
