13 Machining is more than just a matter of formality: In our modern machine park with more than 40 CNC milling and turning centres, we develop individual solutions according to your exact and specific wishes and requirements. We work on the following materials: Stainless steel Titanium Copper Cast steel parts Engineering-grade plastics Milling Nearly all milling centres are equipped with a palette memory for flexible production with up to 300 tools. This guarantees short lead times with high machine performance. The working range achieves a processing length of up to 1,6000 mm. Maximum unit weight is approximately 1,000 kg. With the usage of modern systems with fast and highly dynamic motor spindles, we can efficiently work on aluminium materials to tight tolerances. This option ensures the quality edge especially important with in-house production of aluminium parts for medical products. We produce small as well as medium-sized batches with maximum efficiency and perfection, The machines are programmed through a centralized programming system which processes dfx, dwg- and IGES files. Turning Modern turning centres with counter spindles, driven tools and turning axis for complete machining complement the cutting area at STAHL. The clamping diameter ranges from 4 mm to 600 mm with a processing length of up to 2,000 mm. Maximum unit weight is approximately 150 kg. Further technologies such as honing and high-precision quality flat and round grinding machines round off our service portfolio. 13

15 Apart from our main focus the processing of stainless steel STAHL is a competent partner for the reliable processing of aluminium and nonferrous metals. Thanks to our network of CNC sheet metal processing machines, we form boards quickly and with short setup times. A comprehensive machine park with laser cutting systems, punch, bending and edging machines is at your command. The system is programmed centrally and directly from CAD data. Moreover, four flatbed lasers with a performance of up to 5 KW offer a speed and capacity entirely in tune with customers requirements. In order to guarantee the availability of material at short notice, our computer-aided sheet metal board warehouse with 650 storage spaces provides common formats and qualities in sheet metal thicknesses from 1 to 20 mm on demand. We offer comprehensive production processes for various application areas: Laser cutting Punching and lasering (Punch and bending centre) Embossing Straightening Edging Maximum workable material strength: Aluminium: 12 mm Stainless steel: 15 mm All production processes are adapted to a maximum processing length of 4,000 mm. With our fully automatic bending centre we are also able to edge small batch sizes economically and flexibly. 15

17 From the production of single parts to complex building groups: In three laser welding cells, our specialists weld different components very quickly and efficiently. Our welding seams are barely visible yet still achieve the required strength properties. In order to achieve premium welding seam quality exactly and economically, we also deploy welding robots. At our premises, we adapt the necessary welding devices exactly to your parts together with our tool building department. Quality that you can rely on: We constantly train our highly qualified welding specialists and regularly check their work so that every seam fits.
