11 Case: Generate Value with local resources A Problem The Impact Solution? There exists 70 million active mines in the whole world, present in more than one third of the world countries. It will take 500 years to locate and desactivate all of them. The mines kill or cause damage to 15,000 to 20,000 people per year. They cost $3 to produce and $1000 to locate and desactivate.
