Anna advises clients on both non-contentious and contentious ICT related assignments. Her experience includes working at Roschier in both Helsinki and Stockholm. Anna holds LL.D. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Helsinki and has attended Stanford Law School (California) as a Visiting Senior Scholar. Anna has also a post-graduate LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School (New York) with Stone Scholar honors and M.Sc. (Econ.) degree from Hanken School of Economics. Anna is attorney admitted to the New York Bar and the Finnish Bar. Anna has a solid mix of in-house counsel and law firm experience and has previously worked in New York at US law firm Software Freedom Law Center, Nokia (Open Source Legal) and Hantro as well as on secondments at Supercell, Accenture, Nokia and Comptel. Anna is Member of the Delegation, the highest decision making body in the Finnish Bar Association. Further, Anna is President of the International Federation of Computer Law Associations and Representative of Finland at the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw). Anna has also acted as Chairman of the Board in the Finnish IT Law Association in 2013 and Awards & rankings Anna Haapanen is widely recognized as a rising figure in TMT and Information Technology by international legal directories such as Chambers Europe and Who s Who Legal. 5 Representing Nokia Corporation in connection with acquisition of all of the shares of Symbian Limited and establishing Symbian Foundation in order to release the Symbian operating system as an open source platform. Later on acting for Nokia Corporation in the outsourcing of Nokia s Symbian software perations (of approx employees across the globe) to Accenture Ltd. as part of Nokia s new Windows Phone-based strategy. In this technology intensive transaction, advised Nokia on all technology related matters, including software development subcontracting agreements with Accenture. (9/2011)
