Visit our Web Page at www.livermore-rotary.org The ROTARY CLUB of LIVERMORE June 27, 2018 President Sam's Awards Good-bye Sam Meeting Photos by Don Wentz Sam started the year with a BBQ for friends and family and that is how he ended the year. The It s Burger Time! BBQ was a great success. 70 people did an RSVP and 110 people showed up. You just cannot keep people away when there is Sam and a BBQ. Fortunately for all, the Rotary Roasters punted, found enough meat to BBQ and all were fed. In addition to the excellent BBQ we were entertained by Michael David Rounds Your Spur Reporter Ferrucci and his friends (Stuart Fraiser on guitar and vocals and Jim McSherry on Drums) with a special guest drummer JR Romero and a wonderful singing performance by JR s daughter Danielle. Today s program was focused on recognition and awards presented by Sam Steele. In addition to recognizing and thanking his board President Sam also had kind words and mementos for The Rotary Roasters (Joel Swanson, Paul Banke, Steve Neff and Jack Mills); the weekly meeting and set up crew (Lance Cavaleri, Randy Schlientz, Ed Coats, Nile Runge), and some special recognition for Deborah McQueen, Marc Stoker, Ted Michels and Milly Seibel. The big awards tonight went to, Sheila Fagliano-Rotarian of the Year and John Sarboraria who received the John Shirley Award for lifetime achievement.
