I can conrol all heaing applicaions which vary in capaciy, elecrical supply and insalled equipmen (opions). Operaing he EKHBRD uni comes down o operaing he remoe conroller. I is advised o use he remoe conroller, which includes room hermosa funcion, delivered wih he uni. his will preven excessive space heaing and will sop he oudoor and indoor uni when he room emperaure is above he hermosa se poin. Based on he reques from he user here is an immediae feedback o he compressor conrol which opimizes he performance. If he conroller is se o permission level 3 (refer o "Field seings" in he insallaion manual), he weaher dependen se poin buon will no be operable. 25. INSPECION/ES OPERAION BUON z his buon is used for insallaion purposes and changing field seings. Refer o "Field seings" on page 14. 26. PROGRAMMING BUON < his muli-purpose buon is used o program he conroller. he funcion of he buon depends on he acual saus of he conroller or on previous acions carried ou by he operaor. 27. SCHEDULE IMER BUON r/p he main funcion of his muli-purpose buon is o enable/disable he schedule imer. he buon is also used o se he clock and o program he conroller. he funcion of he buon depends on he acual saus of he conroller or on previous acions carried ou by he operaor. 28. IME ADJUS BUONS pi and pj hese muli-purpose buons are used o adjus he clock, o oggle beween emperaures (waer inle/oule emperaure of he indoor uni, oudoor ambien emperaure, acual room emperaure and domesic ho waer emperaure) and in schedule imer programming mode. 29. LEAVING WAER EMPERAURE ADJUS BUONS ébi and ébj hese buons are used o adjus he leaving waer emperaure se poin in normal operaion mode or in schedule imer programming mode. If he conroller is se o permission level 3 (refer o "Field seings" in he insallaion manual), he leaving waer emperaure adjus buon will no be operable. In case he weaher dependen se poin operaion is seleced, he uni has a floaing se poin. In his case, he a icon as well as he shif value (in case no zero) will display. 30. ROOM EMPERAURE ADJUS BUONS bi and bj hese muli-purpose buons are used o adjus he curren room emperaure se poin in normal operaion mode or in schedule imer programming mode. When changing he room emperaure se poin, he se poin value on he display will be flashing. Afer 5 seconds he display will show o he acual room emperaure. 31. QUIE MODE BUON s his buon enables or disables quie mode. If he conroller is se o permission level 2 or 3 (refer o "Field seings" in he insallaion manual), he quie mode buon will no be operable. 32. he = buon has no funcion. Seing he clock Afer iniial insallaion, he user can se he clock and day of he week. he remoe conroller is equipped wih a schedule imer ha enables he user o schedule operaions. Seing he clock and day of he week is required o be able o use he schedule imer. 1 Hold down he pr buon for 5 seconds. he clock read-ou and he day of week indicaor sar flashing. 2 Use he pi and pj buons o adjus he clock. Each ime he pi or pj buon is pressed, he ime will increase/decrease by 1 minue. Keeping he pi or pj buon pressed will increase/decrease he ime by 10 minues. 3 Use he ébi or ébj buon o adjus he day of he week. Each ime he ébi or ébj buon is pressed he nex or previous day is displayed. 4 Press he < buon o confirm he curren se ime and day of he week. o leave his procedure wihou saving, press he pr buon. If no buon is pressed for 5 minues he clock and day of he week will reurn o heir previous seing. he clock needs o be se manually. Adjus he seing when swiching from summerime o winerime and vice versa. If he conroller is se o permission level 2 or 3 (refer o "Field seings" in he insallaion manual), seing he clock will no be possible. A power failure exceeding 1 hour will rese he clock and he day of he week. he schedule imer will coninue operaion, bu wih a disordered clock. herefor i will be needed o correc he clock and he day of he week. Space heaing operaion (h) Space heaing operaion can be conrolled on wo differen ways: - based on room emperaure, - based on leaving waer emperaure. he purpose of each operaion and how he configuraion is done, is explained below. Room emperaure conrol In his mode, heaing will be acivaed as required by he room emperaure se poin. he se poin can be se manually or hrough he schedule imer. When using room emperaure conrol, space heaing operaion based on room emperaure will have prioriy over leaving waer conrol. Noe ha i is possible ha he leaving waer emperaure becomes higher han he se poin if he uni is conrolled by room emperaure. 4

Selecing space heaing operaion 1 Use he y buon o swich ON/OFF space heaing (h). Icon h appears on he display as well as he corresponding waer emperaure se poin. he operaion LED 0 lighs up. 2 Use he bi and bj buons o se he desired room emperaure. emperaure range for heaing: 16 C~32 C (room emperaure) In order o avoid overheaing, space heaing is no operable when he oudoor ambien emperaure rises above a cerain emperaure (see operaion range). Refer o "Programming and consuling he schedule imer" on page 11 for seup of he schedule imer funcion. 3 Use he ébi and ébj buons o selec he leaving waer emperaure which you wan o be used o hea up your sysem (for deailed informaion see "Leaving waer emperaure conrol" on page 5). Auomaic seback funcion Seback funcion provides he possibiliy o lower he room emperaure. he seback funcion can for insance be acivaed during he nigh because he emperaure demands during nigh and day are no he same. Remark ha he b icon will be flashing during seback operaion. By defaul he seback funcion is enabled. he seback funcion can be combined wih he auomaic weaher dependen se poin operaion. Seback funcion is an auomaic daily scheduled funcion. he seback funcion is configured hrough field seings. Refer o he chaper "Field seings" on page 14 for a deailed descripion how o se one or more field seings. Rehea: he rehea funcion can be acivaed nex o or separae from he auomaic sorage operaion if he user wans o keep he domesic ho waer ank a he minimum rehea emperaure. Nex o he sandard domesic waer heaing operaion modes, i is also possible o freely program he domesic waer heaing operaion hrough he schedule imer (refer o "Programming quie mode or domesic waer heaing" on page 13). hen he mode is swiched on or off a a scheduled ime. Five acions can be programmed per mode. hese acions are repeaed daily (addiional schedule of sorage on op of he auomaic day and nigh sorage funcionaliy). Remark ha only he ime when domesic waer heaing mus sar and sop can be programmed in he schedule imer. When domesic waer heaing is enabled, he waer will be heaed ill sorage se poin. he sorage se poin is se hrough field seing. For energy-saving reasons, keep hours wih low elecriciy cos ariffs in mind when programming he schedule imer for domesic waer heaing. When all acions have been programmed, make sure ha he display shows he highes acion number you would like o save. 6 Use he pi and pj buons o consul he oher programmed acions of ha day. his is called he readou mode. Empy program acions (e.g. 4 and 5) are no displayed. By pressing he pr buon several imes, you reurn o previous seps in his procedure and finally reurn o normal operaion. ips and ricks Programming he nex day(s) Afer confirming he programmed acions of a specific day (i.e. afer pressing he < buon for 5 seconds), press he pr buon once. You can now selec anoher day by using he pi and pj buons and resar consuling and programming. Copying programmed acions o nex day In space heaing program i is possible o copy all programmed acions of a specific day o he nex day (e.g. copy all programmed acions from "1" o "2"). o copy programmed acions o he nex day, proceed as follows: 1 Press he < buon o ener he programming/consuling mode. he acual mode is blinking. 2 Selec he operaion mode you would like o program by means of he pi and pj buons. he acual mode is blinking. You can leave programming by pressing he pr buon. 3 Press he < buon o confirm he seleced mode. he acual day is blinking. 4 Selec he day you would like o copy o he nex day by means of he pi and pj buons. he seleced day is blinking. You can reurn o sep 2 by pressing he pr buon. 5 Press he < and pr buons simulaneously for 5 seconds. Afer 5 seconds he display will show he nex day (e.g. "2" if "1" was seleced firs). his indicaes ha he day has been copied. You can reurn o sep 2 by pressing he pr buon. 13

Deleing one or more programmed acions Deleing one or more programmed acions is done a he same ime as soring he programmed acions. When all acions for one day have been programmed, make sure ha he display shows he highes acion number you would like o save. By pressing he < buon for 5 seconds, you sore all acions excep hose wih a higher acion number han he one ha is displayed. E.g. when he < buon is pressed when acion number 3 is displayed, acions 1, 2 and 3 are sored bu 4 and 5 are deleed. Deleing a mode 1 Press he < buon o ener he programming/consuling mode. 2 Selec he operaion mode you would like o delee by means of he pi and pj buons. he acual mode is blinking. 3 Press he < and ba buon simulaneously for 5 seconds o delee he seleced mode. Deleing a day of he week 1 Press he < buon o ener he programming/consuling mode. Field seings he configuraion of he Daikin sysem is done hrough field seings. In his operaion manual all field seings relaed o he operaion of he uni and user demand are explained. A lis of all hose field seings and defaul values is given under "Field seings able" on page 15. In his same lis, we provided for 2 columns o regiser he dae and value of alered field seings a variance wih he defaul value. For a oal lis of field seings, refer o he insallaion manual. All field seings are accessible and programmable hrough he user inerface on he indoor uni. Each field seing is assigned a 3-digi number or code, for example [5-03], which is indicaed on he user inerface display. he firs digi [5] indicaes he 'firs code' or field seing group. he second and hird digi [03] ogeher indicae he 'second code'. Oupu 2 = ALARM OUPU his oupu will be enabled when your uni is in error condiion. Oupu 3 = DOMESIC HO WAER MODE ON/OFF his oupu will be enabled when your uni is in domesic waer heaing operaion. For more deails abou he wiring connecions of his opion, refer o he wiring diagram of he uni. Operaing he opional remoe conroller If besides he main remoe conroller he opional remoe conroller is insalled as well, he main remoe conroller (maser) can access all seings while he second remoe conroller (slave) can no access schedule seings and parameer seings. Refer o he insallaion manual for more deails. 1 Press he z buon for a minimum of 5 seconds o ener FIELD SE MODE. he $ icon (3) will be displayed. he curren seleced field seing code is indicaed ; (2), wih he se value displayed o he righ - (1). 2 Press he ébi buon o selec he appropriae field seing firs code. 3 Press he ébj buon o selec he appropriae field seing second code. 4 Press he pfi buon and pfj buon o change he se value of he selec field seing. 5 Save he new value by pressing he pr buon. 6 Repea sep 2 hrough 4 o change oher field seings as required. 7 When finished, press he z buon o exi FIELD SE MODE. Changes made o a specific field seing are only sored when he pr buon is pressed. Navigaing o a new field seing code or pressing he z buon will discard he change made. Before shipping, he se values have been se as shown under "Field seings able" on page 15. When exiing FIELD SE MODE, "88" may be displayed on he remoe conroller LCD while he uni iniializes iself. 14
