Y92A-48B Time Seing Ring/Panel Cover There are hree ypes of Panel Covers (Y92P-48GL, Y92P-48GB, and Y92P-48GM), all of which are available in hree colors. Use he mos suiable ype of Panel Cover wih he design of he scaling plae according o he applicaion. When seing a given ime for he Timer, use of he Y92S-27 or Y92S-28 Time Seing Ring faciliaes he ime seing operaion and minimizes possible seing errors by operaors. The Y92F-73 or Y92-F-74 Flush Mouning Adaper or he Proecive Cover canno be used. The ime uni and ime range can be se wih he respecive selecors urned clockwise or counerclockwise. The selecors are of noched so ha hey will snap when hey are properly se. Do no se he selecors midway beween noches, oherwise he Timer may break or malfuncion. Supplies Pay he umos aenion no o make misakes in polariy when wiring he Timer. The H3CR Series uses a ransformerless power. Do no ouch he inpu erminals while he volage is applied, oherwise an elecric shock may be received. A DC power can be conneced if is ripple facor is 20% or less and he mean volage is wihin he raed operaing volage range of he Timer. Be aware ha he operaing volage will rise by 5% if he raed volage is applied o he Timer coninuously while he ambien emperaure is close o he maximum permissible ambien emperaure. For he power of an inpu device of he /-AS, use an isolaing ransformer wih he primary and secondary windings muually isolaed and he secondary winding no grounded. Example: Inpu/Oupu Relaionship beween Inpu and Supply Circuis (/-AS) The /-AS uses ransformerless power. When connecing a relay or ransisor as an exernal signal inpu device, pay aenion o he following poins o preven shor-circuiing due o a sneak curren o he ransformerless power. If a relay or ransisor is conneced o wo or more Timers, he inpu erminals of hose Timers mus be wired properly so ha hey will no differ in phase, oherwise he erminals will be shor-circuied o one anoher. When connecing a relay as an exernal signal inpu device, pay aenion o he following poins o preven shor-circuiing due o a sneak curren o he ransformerless power. Common o All Models The inpu wires mus be as shor as possible. If he floaing capaciy of wires exceeds 1,200 pf (approx. 10 m for cables wih 120 pf/m), he operaion will be affeced. Pay paricular aenion when using shielded cables. The S ransisor oupu is isolaed from he inernal circuiry by a phoocoupler. Therefore, eiher NPN or PNP oupu is possible. The power circui of he Series (excep for S) is a swiching circui. If he power line conneced o he power circui has a ransformer wih high inducance, a couner-elecromoive volage will be induced. To suppress he volage, apply a CR filer o he power line. Do no se he dial o minimum in flicker mode, oherwise he conacs may be damaged. 29

27 Operaing Environmen Do no use he Timer in he following locaions. Locaions wih radical emperaure changes. Locaions wih high humidiy ha may resul in condensaion. Locaions wih excessive vibraion or shock. Locaions wih corrosive gas or dus. Locaions where he Timer is exposed o sprayed waer, oil, or chemicals. Organic solvens (such as pain hinner) as well as srong acid or alkali soluions will damage he ouer casing of he Timer. If he Timer is used in an area wih excessive elecronic noise, be sure o separae he Timer, wires, and inpu device as far as possible from he noise sources. Furhermore, i is recommended ha he inpu signal wiring be shielded o preven elecronic inerference. Precauions for EN (VDE) Conformance The Series as a buil-in imer conforms o EN (VDE0435/P2021) provided ha he following condiions are saisfied. Make sure ha no volage is applied o any erminals before dismouning he Timer from he Socke. The oupu secion of he is provided only wih basic isolaion. Provide supplemenary basic isolaion on he load side conneced o he oupu so ha reinforced isolaion required by he EN (VDE) sandards will be ensured. The iself is designed under he following condiions: Overvolage caegory III Polluion degree 2 Isolaion Operaion pars: Reinforced isolaion Wih clearance of 5.5 mm and creepage disance of 5.5 mm a 230 VAC Oupu: Basic isolaion (see noe) Wih clearance of 3 mm and creepage disance of 3 mm a 230 VAC Noe: The 11-pin model ensures basic isolaion by iself and also ensures basic isolaion wih he 11-pin model mouned o he OMRON P2CF-11 or P3GA-11 Socke.
