Trubleshting Meter Cnnectin Trubleshting Meter Cnnectin SlarEdge revenue grade inverters have a built in Revenue Grade Meter (RGM). This sectin describes hw t trublesht meter-related installatin and perfrmance errrs. Cmmunicatin Status Screen Trubleshting The meter cnfiguratin is set autmatically when activating the inverter using the activatin card. The cmmunicatin status screen shuld display the fllwing: w w w w w w w w D e v P r t # # R S 4 8 5-1 < M T R > < W N > < 1 > R S 4 8 5-2 < - - - > < - - > < - - > Z i g B e e < - - - > < - - > < - - > Device Type and Prtcl are cnfigured incrrectly If MTR (meter) is nt displayed as the device type (DEV), and WN (WattNde) is nt displayed as the Prt (prtcl), the inverter precnfiguratin has been verriden. This may be a result f inverter activatin r cmmunicatin bard replacement withut backing-up and relading the parameters. Cnfigure the meter as fllws: 1. Select Cmmunicatin è RS485-1 Cnf è Device Type è Revenue Meter. 2. Select Cmmunicatin è RS485-1 Cnf è Prtcl è WattNde. 3. Select Revenue Meter è Meter Func. è Prductin. 4. Check that the Device ID under Cmmunicatin è RS485-1 Cnf è Device ID is set t 1. Number f devices is nt displayed If <--> is displayed under the ## clumn in the Cmmunicatin status screen shwn abve, the meter is nt cmmunicating with the inverter. Check the fllwing: The meter cnfiguratin is as described abve. There are n lse cnnectins at the inverter cnnectrs and at the meter, specifically the RS485 wiring. Replacing the Built-in Meter Replacing the Built-in Meter This sectin describes hw t replace the meter in the Safety Switch, and hw t cnfigure the cnnectin. Replacing the Meter 1. Turn OFF the inverter ON/OFF switch, and wait until the LCD indicates that the DC vltage is safe (<50V), r wait five minutes befre cntinuing t the next step. WARNING! If yu cannt see the inverter panel, r if a malfunctin is indicated n the LCD panel, wait five minutes fr the input capacitrs f the inverter t discharge. Si vus ne puvez pas vir l'écran de l'nduleur u si un dysfnctinnement est indiqué sur l'écran LCD, attendez cinq minutes pur que les cndensateurs d'entrée de l'nduleur sient déchargés. 2. Turn OFF the Safety Switch and the AC switch f the distributin panel. 3. Open the Safety Switch cver. 4. Carefully discnnect the three terminal blcks frm the meter: Green AC 10-pin cnnectr frm the right side Black RS485 4-pin cnnectr and black CT 6-pin cnnectr frm the left side 5. Release the tw screws cnnecting the meter t the pivting plate, and put them aside. 6. Install a new meter n the pivting plate and fasten the screws that were set aside. 7. Cnnect the terminal blcks t the new meter. Push firmly and verify they cannt be easily discnnected. Wiring the Meter If required (fr example, if yu discnnected the meter wiring) use the fllwing prcedure t rewire the meter cnnectins. Refer t Figure 5. Figure 5: RGM cnnectins 6 Built-in Revenue Grade Meter Trubleshting
Wiring the Meter T cnnect the meter t AC: 1. Remve the green 10-pin terminal blck frm the right side f the meter. 2. Insert the thin cables frm the AC side f the Safety Switch t the terminal blck, as described belw: Clr Frm T pin # Green/Yellw GND 10 White N 8 Red L1 6 Black L2 4 3. Fasten the terminal blck screws.
