Holiday Helper 2017 Let it Snow Wreath Do you have a couple of handpainted ornaments made by your grandmother? How about a tree skirt sewn by your mother? Who doesn t have a few ornaments that you made when you were a kid? There is something about the passage of time and the advent of tradition that makes these handmade parts of the holidays priceless. What handmade treasures do you have that you bring out every year for the holidays? A handmade wreath is another beautiful way to add to the warmth of the season. Whether you make this for yourself or give it as a gift (or both), you ll find that it adds festive cheer and a handmade touch to any seasonal decor. This wreath is very simple to make and the color scheme can be used for many different Holidays - Fall, Winter, Christmas, and birthdays, just to name a few.
Holiday Helper 2017 : Let it Snow Wreath STEP1: Cut 24 pieces of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper that measures 1-1/2 x 12. 1 Cut 24 of 7/8 Striped Ribbon. Cut 16 of the 1/8 Silver Ribbon STEP2: Big Shot pieces: Cut the letters SNOW out of both Whisper White and Smoky Slate cardstock using the Large Letters Framelits. Cut four Silver Glimmer ovals using the Layering Ovals Framelits (1-3/4 x 2-3/4 size oval) from a 3-1/4 x 12 strip of Silver Glimmer paper. Emboss Whisper White letters using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder on the Big Shot. Cut 3 2 Whisper White and 1 Silver Glimmer snowflakes using the large snowflake die from Tags & Stockings Framelits. Cut 2 small white, 1 small Silver Glimmer, and 2 medium Sliver Glimmer snowflakes using the Seasonal Tags Framelits. STEP3: Stamp the Seasonal Chums snowman with Memento Black ink on Whisper White Thick cardstock. Use Real Red, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie markers to color in details. Use 3 Seasonal Tags framelits to die cut the snowman with the Big Shot. Trim the top section to separate the back and front of the snowman into two pieces. Adhere 1/8 Silver Ribbon between two Silver Foil Snowflakes with Tear & Tape adhesive. Adhere front snowman to one side and the back of the snowman to the other. 2
Let it Snow Wreath : Holiday Helper 2017 STEP4: We will be wrapping the designer series paper strips around the wreath frame, alternating 4 and overlapping between light and dark patterns. In this project, the black/white side of the designer series paper was used, but you could alternate and show some of the Old Olive color. STEP5: Add Fast Fuse adhesive to the outside edge of the paper, leaving the paper loose around 5 the wreath. If you want to hide the hanging ribbon, add it before you add the last piece of paper. STEP6: Use the Banner Triple Punch to create a flag at the end of the strips. 6 3
Holiday Helper 2017 : Let it Snow Wreath STEP7: Adhere and overlap the Whisper White letters on top of the Smokey Slate letters 7 slightly to the right. Attach the letters to the Silver Glimmer ovals using Stampin Dimensionals. Attach to the bottom of the wreath with either Stampin Dimensionals or Tear & Tape. STEP8: Tie a bow near the top of the 1/8 Silver Ribbon and attach to the bottom of the 7/8 8 Striped Ribbon, using a straight pin to hold in place. STEP9: Stamp Let It using the Brushwork Alphabet stamps on Whisper White using 9 Memento Black ink. Punch with the Starburst punch. Attach to a Silver Foil Snowflake with Stampin Dimensionals. Attach foil snowflake to the wreath with Tear & Tape. 4
Let it Snow Wreath : Holiday Helper 2017 STEP10: Add Wink of Stella to all Whisper White snowflakes and then add Rhinestone Jewels. 10 Decorate wreath with snowflakes as desired. Tie a knot at the top of the 7/8 Striped Ribbon to hang. Alternatively, use the 1/8 Silver Ribbon to tie a knot at the top of the striped ribbon for a different look.
