1 Holiday Helper Provided by Elizabeth Green Holiday Helper Tin of Tags Cards During the holiday season, you can find a little bit of everything - from joy, merriment, and holiday cheer to a kind of peace and a child-like sense of wonder. Amidst all of the hustle and bustle, it s so worthwhile to just pause and take it all in. Taking time to add a homemade touch to your holiday preparations can be just what you need to really get into the holiday spirit. These cards and this kit do it all - they illustrate the essence of the holidays while giving you some time to slow down. From the beautiful watercoloring to the little stars and sweater knit texture, you can express the beauty, warmth, and good cheer of the holidays with this set of cards. 2 Holiday Helper 2016 : Tin of Tags Cards STEP1 Sort tags and collect the tag styles shown in this photo. Stamp greetings onto tags in Real Red 1 or Old Olive as shown. Stamp stars with Crushed Curry ink. STEP2 Cut card 10 card bases to 4-1/4 x 11. Cut 6 from Heavy Whisper White, 2 Old Olive, 2 and 2 Island Indigo. Score all 10 pieces of 4-1/4 x 11 cardstock at 5-1/2 along the 11 side. Gather the tag styles shown in this photo. Stamp greetings onto tags in Island Indigo ink. The punched Whisper White circle is not used for the cards. STEP3 For this tag, the Spread some Christmas Cheer stamp is masked so Christmas Cheer fits 3 on the narrow tag. Ink the stamp in Island Indigo ink. Cover the Spread Some portion of the stamp with the sticky portion of a sticky note. Wrap the note around the edges of the block and press to hold in place. Huff on the stamp to moisten the ink and then stamp the Christmas Cheer onto the tag. 2

3 Tin of Tags Cards : Holiday Helper 2016 STEP4 Stamp star garland image three times horizontally at the top right corner of one Whisper 4 White card front. Stamp snowflakes randomly on a Whisper White card front with Soft Sky ink, leaving the top right section of the card blank. STEP5 Cut 4 pieces of Watercolor Paper to 3 x 4-1/2. Create a watercolor background similar to the tags. Drop 2 drops of Old Olive ink refill into 5 a plastic container or a plate. Add about 10 drops of water from the Aqua Painter, using the larger brush tip is recommended. Repeat with a separate container and the Island Indigo ink refill. Use an Aqua Painter to brush water onto the watercolor paper. Avoid spreading the water all the way to the edges. The color will flow where the water is, and having the edges as a white frame looks nice. 6 STEP6 Dip the Aqua Painter into the Old Olive ink. Dab the brush on the wet watercolor paper. 3

4 Holiday Helper 2016 : Tin of Tags Cards STEP7 Add more ink and repeat until the area is mostly covered. This technique creates a mottled 7 background with dark and light areas. If the image is too wet, use a paper towel or a rag to dab up the excess water and ink. Repeat the watercoloring technique on a second piece of watercolor paper so that you have two. Set aside to dry. STEP8 Repeat the watercolor background with the Island Indigo ink on two more pieces of watercolor paper. Set them aside to dry. 8 STEP9 Emboss two 2 x 5-1/2 and two 3 x 5-1/2 pieces of Real Red cardstock strips with 9 the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. 5 Tin of Tags Cards : Holiday Helper 2016 STEP10 Begin with the card with stamped snowflakes and a blank Whisper White card. Add 10 strips of Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape and Real Red dot washi tape from the Tin of Tags. Place washi tape from the left edge toward the right edge of the cards. Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the oval tag onto the snowflake card and the layered squares onto the other. Tie two ribbon knots. Adhere to tags with Mini Glue Dots. Add sequins to both cards with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. 11 STEP11 Begin with two blank Whisper White card bases. Layer 1 x 5-1/2 Old Olive strips under the left edge of each 3 embossed Real Red strip. Adhere to the right edge of the card. Add washi tape and the small Merry Christmas tag onto the tag with stamped stars. Adhere the tags onto the cards with Stampin Dimensionals so that the left edge of each goes off the left edge of the layers. Tie two ribbon knots. Adhere to tags with Mini Glue 12 Dots. Add sequins to both cards with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. STEP12 Begin with the Whisper White card with the stamped star garland and a blank Whisper White card base. Layer the 2 embossed Real 5

6 Holiday Helper 2016 : Tin of Tags Cards Red strips onto 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 Old Olive strips. Adhere to left edge of the card. Carefully add the 13 wood snowflake and the small Merry Christmas tag onto the blue tag. Use 10 pieces of the Silver & White Baker s Twine to tie bows on each tag. Add the tags near the right side of the cards with Stampin Dimensionals. STEP13 Begin with two blank Island Indigo card bases. Center the Old Olive watercolored layers onto each card. Add the square tag with a knot of Real Red ribbon onto the left edge of 14 one card with Stampin Dimensionals. Add sequins with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Adhere the silver snowflake near the right edge on top of the watercolored layer. Tie a bow on the tag with a 10 piece of the Silver & White Baker s Twine. Layer the tag over the snowflake with Stampin Dimensionals at right edge of the card. STEP14 Begin with two blank Old Olive card bases. Center the Island Indigo watercolored layers onto each card. Add the tags onto the lower right front of the cards with Stampin Dimensionals so that the right edge of each goes off the right edge of the watercolored layer. Tie two ribbon knots and adhere them to the tags with Mini Glue Dots. Add sequins to both cards with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. 6
