1 Clutch Purse Card Set Designed By: Christy Fulk May 2013 Everyone needs cards, don t they? Well, here s a card set anyone would love to have! This card set includes six cards with coordinating envelopes. It would make a great teacher gift for the end of the school year, and a fun stamp class, too! Clutch Purse Instructions Step 1 Cut one 8-1/2 x 10-3/4 piece of Pool Party card stock.

2 Step 2 With an 8-1/2 side along the top of the Simply Scored scoring tool, score the card stock at 1-1/4 and 7-1/4. Step 2 Step 3 Rotate a quarter turn to put a 10-3/4 side along the top of the Simply Scored scoring tool, and score the card stock at 4-3/4 and 6. Step 3

3 Step 4 Cut the two short score lines on the top and the two short score lines on the bottom of the piece, stopping at the long intersecting score lines. Fold all of the score lines in. Step 4A Step 4B Step 5 Cut one 7 x 1/2 from each color of the following card stock: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Gumball Green. Die-cut each piece with the narrow rick-rack die in the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die. Step 6 Attach the strips along the bottom of the top section of the Pool Party card stock as shown in the picture, starting with the bottom strip. Line up the strips so that each point touches a point in the strip below it. Trim the edges so the ends line up with the two horizontal score lines of the Pool Party card stock. Step 6A Step 6B

4 Step 7 Cut one 2 x 8 piece of Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper (DSP) hexagon/daffodil Delight. Punch out four scallop circles with the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle punch. Cut each scallop circle in half. Each half should have seven scallops. Step 7A Step 7B Step 8 Lay four of the halves down with the Daffodil Delight side on the top, and lay the other four down with the hexagon side on top. Fold the first three scallops on the left over to the right, lining them up with the other scallops. Then, fold the two right scallops over to the left, lining up with the other scallops. Do the same with every scallop half. There will be four Daffodil Delight heart-shaped petals and four multi-colored heart-shaped petals. Step 8A Step 8B

5 Step 9 Punch out one circle with the 1-3/4 Circle punch from a scrap piece of Calypso Coral card stock. Fold the circle in half, and then in half again the other way. Open the circle back up, and poke a hole in the center where the folds intersect, using the Paper-Piercing Tool and Stampin Pierce Mat. Step 9A Step 9B Step 10 Attach the Daffodil Delight heart-shaped petals on top of the four folds in the Calypso Coral circle with SNAIL adhesive. Make sure the bottom point of each petal is just next to the hole, without covering it up. Attach the other four heart-shaped petals into the four openings on the circle. Insert a Calypso Coral Printed Designer brad into the hole of the circle. Step 10A Step 10B Step 10C

6 Step 11 Punch out a scallop circle from a scrap piece of Calypso Coral card stock with the 2-3/8 Scallop Circle punch. Attach the flower to the center of the scallop circle. Then, attach the flower to the right side of the rick-rack strips as shown with four Stampin Dimensionals. Step 11 Step 12 Put two pieces of Sticky Strip onto both small square sections of the Pool Party card stock. Turn the card stock over, and put Sticky Strip onto the two sides, long edges of the top section as shown below. Step 12A Step 12B

7 Step 13 Remove the red film from the Sticky Strip on the small square sections, and fold the sections up. Attach the two side sections without Sticky Strip onto these square sections. Remove the red film from the long Sticky Strip pieces, and attach them to each side, closing the purse. Step 13A Step 13B Step 14 Cut one 5 x 4-1/4 piece of Pool Party card stock and one 4-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Epic Day This and That DSP (chevron/green dot paper). Step 15 Die-cut the Pool Party card stock with the second largest die from the Labels Collection Framelits dies. Die-cut the DSP with the next smaller die from the same Framelits set (third largest die). Attach the DSP label to the center of the Pool Party label. Rub a Bone Folder across the back of the label to get it to curve. Step 15A Step 15B

8 Step 16 Lay the label onto a Stampin Pierce mat. Lay the Labels Collection grid from the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack on top, lining the label up with the coordinating lines of the grid. Pierce the Pool Party card stock through the holes in the grid with the Paper-Piercing tool. Step 16A Step 16B Step 17 Put two strips of Sticky Strip onto one of the ends of the label. Remove the red film, and attach the label to the center back of the purse. This makes the closure for the purse. Step 17A Step 17B Step 18 Fold the closure down over the top to the front of the purse. When it s laying the way you like, poke a hole through the center end of the closure and the front of the purse with a Paper-Piercing tool. Step 18

9 Step 19 Insert an Antique brad into the hole in the purse closure, but don t attach it yet. Draw a little line on each side of the brad with a pencil. Remove the brad. Step 19A Step 19B Step 20 Draw a line connecting the two small lines just drawn, using a ruler. Cut a slit along the connecting line using a hobby blade and cutting mat. Cut the slit wider on both sides of it, making the slit about 3/8 in width. Step 20A Step 20B Step 20C Step 21 Cut a Stampin Dimensional in half. Attach each half to the back of the Antique brad, and insert it into the hole in the purse. The dimensionals raise the brad so that it can be inserted into the purse closure slot to close the purse.

10 Step 21A Step 21B Finished Clutch Purse Card #1 Instructions Step 1 Cut one 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of Gumball Green card stock. Fold in half to make the card base. Step 2 Cut one 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Stamp the large circle from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set with Calypso Coral ink, the middle circle with Gumball Green ink, and the flower with Daffodil Delight ink onto the Very Vanilla piece. Punch the Calypso Coral circle out with the 2-1/2 Circle punch, the Gumball Green circle out with the 1-3/8 Circle punch, and the Daffodil Delight flower with the 1 Circle punch. Step 2

11 Step 3 Cut one 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Pool Party card stock. Insert the bottom of the card stock into the scallop border folder from the Needlepoint Border embossing folders as shown below, and run it through the Big Shot. Insert the card stock into the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, lining up the bottom edge of the folder along the top of the embossed scallop border, and run it through the Big Shot. Step 3A Step 3B Step 4 Cut one 2 x 4 piece of Epic Day This and That DSP (Daffodil Delight paper). Also cut one 6 piece and one 4 piece of Natural 7/16 Trim ribbon. Step 5 Stamp the Hello greeting from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set onto the bottom of the DSP piece with Gumball Green ink. Step 5

12 Step 6 Attach the DSP piece to the right side of the Pool Party piece, lining the top of the DSP with the top edge of the Pool Party piece. Attach the yellow flower from Step 1 onto the Gumball Green circle with SNAIL adhesive. Attach them to the Calypso Coral circle with three Stampin Dimensionals. Attach the circles to the top left of the card with four Stampin Dimensionals. Attach a rhinestone from the Large Rhinestones Basic Jewels pack to the center of the flower circle. Wrap the 6 piece of ribbon across the top of the embossed border, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the card stock. Attach three of the largest rhinestones from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack to the bottom right corner of the Pool Party piece. Attach the whole thing to the Gumball Green card base. Tie the 4 ribbon piece to the left side of the ribbon with a single knot, and trim ends. Step 6A Step 6B Step 7 Stamp the large circle from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set onto the front, bottom left corner of a Very Vanilla envelope in Gumball Green ink. Repeat Card #1 Steps 1 through 7 two more times to make a total of three cards with coordinating envelopes. Card #2 Instructions Completed Card #1 and Envelope Step 1 Cut one 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Calypso Coral card stock. Fold in half to make the card base. Cut one 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. Emboss the piece with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Attach it to the center of the card base.

13 Step 2 Cut one 2-1/4 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla card stock and one 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Calypso Coral card stock. Stamp the large, flower-type circle from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set onto the center of the Very Vanilla piece with Calypso Coral ink. Stamp the medium-sized circle onto the upper left corner and lower right corner of the Very Vanilla card stock with Gumball Green ink. Stamp the smaller flower stamp onto the remaining corners of the Very Vanilla piece with Daffodil Delight ink. Attach it to the Calypso Coral piece. Step 2 Step 3 Stamp the Thank You greeting from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock with Calypso Coral ink. Stamp the flower stamp onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock, as well, with Daffodil Delight ink. Punch the greeting out with the 1-3/4 Circle punch, making sure the greeting is along the top of the circle. Punch the Daffodil Delight flower out with the 1 Circle punch. Punch out a scallop circle from a scrap piece of Gumball Green card stock with the 1-1/4 Scallop Circle punch. Attach the Daffodil Delight flower circle onto the scallop circle. Step 3

14 Step 4 Attach the bottom part of the greeting circle onto the back, left-side of the stamped rectangle piece as shown below. Step 4 Step 5 Cut one 4 x 3-1/2 piece of Gumball Green card stock, one 4 x 3-1/8 piece of Very Vanilla card stock, and one 4 x 3 piece of Epic Day This and That DSP (Pool Party paper). Step 6 Emboss the bottom of the Gumball Green card stock with the scallop border folder from the Needlepoint Border embossing folders. Make sure the scallop edge is on the very bottom of the card stock. Step 6

15 Step 7 Attach the DSP piece to the Very Vanilla piece, and then attach it to the Gumball Green piece, right above the embossed scallop border. Attach the whole thing to the top of the card. Poke a hole into the middle of the Calypso Coral flower-type image, and insert a Pool Party In Color Designer Printed brad. Put two Stampin Dimensionals onto the back of the stamped piece, putting them on the bottom corners only. Put SNAIL adhesive onto the back, top corners of the piece, and the greeting circle, and attach it to the card, as shown. Attach the flower scallop circle onto the top left corner of the stamped layer with one Stampin Dimensional. Attach a large rhinestone from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack to the center of the Daffodil Delight flower. Step 7 Step 8 Stamp the large flower-type circle from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set onto the front, bottom left corner of a Very Vanilla envelope in Calypso Coral ink. Repeat Card #2 Steps 1 through 8 two more times to make a total of three cards with coordinating envelopes. Completed Card #2 and Envelope
