1 Mosaic Flip Flop Album Designed By: Christy Fulk June, 2013 This is such a fun album to make! There are eight 6 x 6 pages in this album, along with eight half page flaps. Everyone will love how the pages flip flop when looking through it. The album features the new Mosaic Madness stamp set and the new Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). This project would make a very fun scrapbooking class, too. Flip Flop Album Instructions Step 1 Cut four 12 x 6 pieces and four 6 x 6 pieces of Pool Party card stock. Place one of the 12 x 6 pieces onto the Simply Scored scoring tool with one of the 12 sides along the top of the scoring tool. Score at 2-1/4, 3, 9, and 9-3/4.

2 Step 3 Cover the left 2-1/4 wide section with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Attach one of the 6 x 6 pieces to this section, lining up the right edge with the first scoring line. Step 3A Step 3B Step 4 Turn the piece over, and put the glue onto the back of the same 2-1/4 section and the back of the 6 x 6 piece that is showing. Attach another 6 x 6 piece onto it, lining it up with the 6 x 6 piece already attached to it. The right edge will be along the first scored line, as well. Step 4A Step 4B

3 Step 5 Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with the other side of the long strip with the last two 6 x 6 pieces. It should like the Step 5 picture below when completed. It should measure 19-1/2 x 6. Step 5 Step 6 Place the piece onto the scoring tool so one of the long edges are along the top, and score along the same score lines on the left which will be at the 6 and 6-3/4 marks. Rotate the piece so the other long edge is along the top, and score the last two scored lines again, which will be at the 6 and 6-3/4 marks, too. This will reinforce the scoring lines. This whole piece is the cover of the album. Step 6 Step 7 Placing one of the 12 sides along the top of the scoring tool, score another 12 x 6 pieces at 3 and 9. Do the same with the remaining two 12 x 6 pieces.

4 Step 7 Step 8 Fold all of the scoring lines up on all three pieces scored in Step 7. Step 8 Step 9 Turn one of the pieces over, and put Multipurpose Liquid Glue all over the back of both 3 sections. Step 9 Step 10 Take one of the other pieces, and attach the back of its left 3 section to the right 3 section with the glue on it.

5 Step 10 Step 11 Take one of the other pieces, and attach the back of its right 3 section to the 3 section with glue on it. This section makes the inside pages of the album. Step 11 Step 12 Close the pages of the album by first folding the two center flaps down towards the center. Then, fold the far right flap down to the left, and then fold the whole 6 x 6 piece over to the left and over the center section. Step 12A Step 12B Step 13 Fold the far left flap down to the right, and then fold the whole 6 x 6 piece to the right and over the center section. The inside pages are now closed.

6 Step 13A Step 13B Step 14 Turn the closed pages over, and put Multipurpose Liquid Glue all over back 6 x 6 side. Turn it back over, and attach to the top of the center 6 x 6 section of the album cover. Step 14A Step 14B Step 15 Fold the right section of the album cover over the album pages, and then fold the left section of the cover over that. The actual album is finished. Step 15A Step 15B

7 Center Page Instructions Center Page Step 1 Cut one 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 piece of Whisper White card stock, one 5-5/8 x 5-5/8 piece of Quatrefancy Specialty designer series paper (Multi-color mosaic/strawberry Slush paper), one 5-5/8 x 3 piece of Strawberry Slush card stock, one 5-5/8 x 2-3/4 piece of Daffodil Delight card stock, and one 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Island Indigo card stock. Attach the DSP to the center of the Whisper White card stock. Step 3 Emboss the Daffodil Delight card stock by running it through the Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder. Attach it to the Strawberry Slush card stock. Attach it to the bottom half of the DSP. Attach the Island Indigo card stock (photo mat) to the page as shown above. Step 4 Stamp the mosaic stamp from the Mosaic Madness stamp set to a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock with Pool Party ink. Punch it out with the Mosaic punch. Stamp the small mosaic stamp to a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock with Strawberry Slush ink. Cut it out free hand with Paper Snips. Attach it to the center of the Pool Party mosaic with a Glue Dot, and attach a medium-sized rhinestone from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of the mosaic. Then, attach it all to the right, bottom corner of the Island Indigo photo mat with a Stampin Dimensional.

8 Step 5 Open the album up completely. Attach the whole page to the center page of the album. Center Page Flaps Instructions Step 5 Center Page Flaps Step 1 Cut two 2-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 2-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (multi-color mosaic/strawberry Slush paper), two 1-3/4 x 3-1/4 pieces of Island Indigo card stock, and two 2 x 4 pieces of Whisper White card stock. Cut two 8 and two 4 pieces of Daffodil Delight 1/4 stitched grosgrain ribbon. Attach the DSP pieces to the center of the large Whisper White pieces. Wrap the two 8 pieces of ribbon long ways around the front of the designer paper, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the pieces.

9 Step 3 Die-cut the two smaller Whisper White pieces with the second largest die from the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies. Stamp the single border stamp from the Mosaic Madness stamp set along the two long sides of each label with Pool Party ink. Attach both labels to the Island Indigo pieces as shown. Step 3A Step 3B Step 4 Attach the two pieces from Step 3 to the center of the DSP pieces, over the ribbon. Stamp the same mosaic stamp that was used on the center page twice onto a scrap of Pumpkin Pie card stock with Pumpkin Pie ink. Punch them both out with the Mosaic punch. Attach a medium-sized rhinestone from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of each mosaic. Attach one of the mosaics to the top circle tab of one of the labels with a Stampin Dimensional and the other mosaic to the bottom circle tab of the other label with another Stampin Dimensional. Step 5 Tie the two 4 pieces of ribbon into a single knot. Attach them to the open circle tabs on both labels with Glue Dots. Attach the flap pages to the album flaps that are on either side of the center page. Step 5

10 Other Side of Center Page Flaps Instructions Other Side of Center Page Flaps Step 1 Cut two 2-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 2-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (multi-color/daffodil Delight paper), one 3-3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Strawberry Slush card stock, and one 3-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock. Attach the DSP to the large Whisper White pieces. Attach them to the other side of the center flaps. Step 3 Stamp the double border stamp from the Mosaic Madness set across the bottom of the smaller Whisper White piece twice, one on top of the other, with Island Indigo ink. Use the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement. Stamp the small mosaic stamp across the top beginning with the one in the middle in Strawberry Slush ink. Stamp the one to the left in Daffodil Delight ink, the one left of that in Pumpkin Pie ink, and the one left of that in Pool Party ink. Stamp the one to the right of the center one in Pool Party ink, the one right of it in Pumpkin Pie ink, and the one right of that in Daffodil Delight ink. Then, stamp the greeting stamp from the Really Good Greetings stamp set in the center using Strawberry Slush ink. Step 4 Attach the stamped image onto the Strawberry Slush card stock. With the greeting turned upright, turn the piece over, and put adhesive on the back side s right. Turn over, and attach it to the left flap. Step 4

11 6 x 6 Pages on Both Sides of the Center Page Instructions 6 x 6 Pages on Both Sides of Center Page Step 1 Cut two 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 5-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (multi-colored/daffodil Delight paper), two 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 pieces of Strawberry Slush card stock, and two 5 x 3-3/4 pieces of Pool Party card stock. Attach the two DSP pieces to the two Whisper White pieces. Step 3 Cut the two Strawberry Slush squares in half, cutting it diagonally from corner to corner. Then, emboss the four triangles by running them through the Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder. Attach the triangles to the upper right corners and lower left corners of both of the DSP layers. Step 3 Step 4 Cut four 6 pieces of Daffodil Delight 1/4 stitched grosgrain ribbon. Wrap each ribbon piece around the long edges of the Strawberry Slush triangles, and attaching the ribbon ends to the back of the pages.

12 Step 5 Attach the Pool Party pieces to the center of the pages. Then, attach them to the 6 x 6 blank pages that are on either side of the center page of the album. Side Flap Pages of Above 6 x 6 Pages Side Flap Pages of Above 6 x 6 Pages Step 1 Cut two 2-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 2-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (multi-color/daffodil Delight paper), two 2-5/8 x 1/2 pieces of Strawberry Slush card stock, two 8-1/2 x 1-1/2 pieces of Whisper White card stock, and one 2 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White card stock. Attach the DSP pieces to the 2-3/4 x 5-3/4 Whisper White pieces. Stamp the double border stamp from the Mosaic Madness stamp set across the two Strawberry Slush strips with Strawberry Slush ink. Attach them across the center of both pieces of DSP. Die-cut two labels from the 2 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White card stock with the square-type die from the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies. Attach them to the center of both Strawberry Slush Strips. Step 3 On the two remaining Whisper White strips, stamp the solid mosaic stamp four times in Pumpkin Pie ink, the striped mosaic stamp four times in Strawberry Slush ink, and the ornate mosaic stamp four times in Pool Party ink. Punch them all out with the Mosaic punch.

13 Step 4 Attach the Pool Party mosaics to the top and bottom left corners of both flap pages, and then attach the Pumpkin Pie mosaics to the top and bottom right corners of both flap pages. Attach the Strawberry Slush mosaics inbetween the other mosaics, using a Stampin Dimensional on all four. Step 4A Step 4B Step 5 Attach the flap pages to the outside flaps of the last two 6 x 6 pages made. Step 5

14 Other Side of Side Flaps Instructions Other Side of Side Flaps Step 1 Cut two 2-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 2-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (Strawberry Slush/Daffodil Delight paper), one 5-1/2 x 2 piece of Whisper White card stock, four 2-5/8 x 3/4 pieces of Island Indigo card stock, and four 2-5/8 x 1/2 Daffodil Delight card stock. Attach the DSP pieces to the two large Whisper White pieces. Die-cut two labels from the remaining piece of Whisper White card stock with the second from smallest die from the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies. Attach them to the center of both pieces of DSP. Step 3 Stamp the single border stamp across the four Daffodil Delight strips with Daffodil Delight ink. Attach them to the four Island Indigo strips. Attach these strips to the top and bottom of both flap pages. Attach a small rhinestone from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to each design in the border. Attach the pages to the remaining empty outside flaps. Step 3

15 Right Two-Page 6 x 6 Layout Instructions Right Two-Page 6 x 6 Layout Step 1 Cut two 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 5-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (Island Indigo/Pumpkin Pie paper), two 2-1/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Whisper White card stock, and two 11 x 1-1/2 pieces of Whisper White card stock. Attach the DSP to the two large Whisper White pieces. Emboss the 2-1/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Whisper White card stock by running them through the Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder, making sure both pieces have two columns of four large embossed mosaics. Lay the side of the Whisper White card stock where the mosaic shapes are embossed and the border lines are debossed on top. Stamp the small mosaic stamp from the Modern Mosaic stamp set onto the small embossed mosaics with Island Indigo ink.

16 Step 3 Using the remaining pieces of Whisper White card stock, stamp the ornate mosaic stamp four times, the open mosaic stamp four times, the striped mosaic stamp four times, and the solid mosaic stamp four times, using Pool Party ink on all of them. Stamp the small mosaic stamp to the center of the four open mosaics with Pool Party ink. Punch them all out with the Mosaic punch. Starting from the top and going down the left column of large embossed mosaics, attach the ornate mosaic, then the open mosaic, then the striped mosaic, and then the solid mosaic. Do the right column in the opposite order. Do the same with the other embossed piece. Step 4 Attach one mosaic piece to the left side of one of the 6 x 6 pages, and the other mosaic piece to the right side of the other 6 x 6 page. Put small rhinestones from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels onto the five center small mosaics on each page. Attach the pages to the two right 6 x 6 pages of the album. 17 Step 1 Cut two 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 5-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (Pool Party/Pumpkin Pie paper), two 4 x 3-3/4 pieces of Pumpkin Pie card stock, and two 8-1/2 x 1-1/2 pieces of Whisper White card stock. Cut the pieces of DSP into fourths, which will make four 2-13/16 x 2-13/16 squares from each DSP piece. Attach the Pumpkin Pie side to the top left corner and the bottom right corner of one of the 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock. Attach the Pool Party side to the top right corner and the bottom left corner of the same Whisper White piece. On the last 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 piece of Whisper White card stock, attach the Pool Party side to the top left corner and the bottom right corner. Attach the Pumpkin Pie side to the top right corner and the bottom left corner. Attach the Pumpkin Pie pieces to the center of both pages. A B Step 3 On the remaining Whisper White strips, stamp the striped mosaic stamp from the Mosaic Madness stamp set ten times with Pumpkin Pie ink, the solid mosaic stamp four times with Pool Party ink, and the small mosaic stamp two times with Daffodil Delight ink. Punch the Pumpkin Pie and Pool Party mosaics out with the Mosaic punch. Cut the small Daffodil Delight mosaics out free-hand with Paper Snips. Step 4 Punch out two circles from a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock with the 1-3/8 Circle punch. Cover one side of one of the circles with SNAIL adhesive. Attach five of the Pumpkin Pie mosaics around the circle, making sure one of the pointed ends of the mosaics are in the center of the circle. Step 4A Step 4B Step 4C

18 Step 5 Attach the small Daffodil Delight mosaics to the center of both flowers with a Glue Dot. Put SNAIL adhesive to one end of each Pool Party mosaic, and attach two of them to the back of each flower, making sure the ends without adhesive show from the front of the flower. These are the leaves of the flower. Step 5A Step 5B Step 5C Step 6 Attach a flower to the bottom left corner of the left page, and attach the other flower to the bottom right of the right page. The flowers should both be on top of a Pool Party DSP square. Attach the pages to the two right 6 x 6 pages of the album. Step 6

20 Step 1 Cut two 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock, two 5-5/8 x 5-5/8 pieces of Quatrefancy DSP (Strawberry Slush/Daffodil Delight paper), one 5-1/2 x 3-1/4 Daffodil Delight card stock, three 8-1/2 x 1-1/2 pieces of Whisper White card stock, one 4 x 1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock, and one 30 piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4 stitched grosgrain ribbon. Put SNAIL adhesive across the middle of the front and back covers of the album. Step 3 Attach the ribbon to the adhesive strips, making sure the middle of the ribbon is at the center of the album binding. Close the album. Step 3A Step 3B

21 Step 4 Attach the DSP pieces to the two 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 pieces of Whisper White card stock. Attach one of them on the back cover of the album, covering the ribbon up. Step 4 Step 5 Attach one Tea Lace paper doily to the right side of the other piece of DSP. Step 5

22 Step 6 Die-cut the Daffodil Delight piece with the largest die in the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies. Emboss the piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic Impressions folder. Stamp the Dare to Dream stamp from the Loving Thoughts stamp set onto the small strip of Whisper White card stock with Island Indigo ink. Punch the right side of the strip with the corner of the 1 Square punch to form a banner. Attach the Daffodil Delight label to the right side of the page, and then attach the banner across the right, middle of the label. Step 6 Step 7 Repeat the Left Two-Page 6 x 6 Layout Instructions Steps 3-5 to make the flowers, but use the following ink. The top flower petals were stamped with Island Indigo ink and an Island Indigo circle was used for its base. The middle flower petals were stamped with Strawberry Slush ink and a Strawberry Slush circle was used for its base. The bottom flower petals were stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink and a Pumpkin Pie circle was used for its base. The leaves of the flowers were all stamped with Pool Party ink. Attach the flowers to the left side of the Daffodil Delight label as pictured. Attach the whole page to the front cover of the album. Attach a small Vintage Faceted designer button to each corner of the front cover s DSP with a Glue Dot. Tie the ribbon ends together in a bow to keep album closed. Step 7
