7 MAIN SOTWAR PARAMTR STTINS The following is a brief descripion of he main seings and feaures of digial drivers. or a deailed descripions of available seings, wirings and insallaion procedures, please refer o he user manual included in he -SW programming sofware: -MAN-BM-AS - user manual for -BM-AS 7. Scale Scale funcion allows o se he maximum supplied o he solenoid, corresponding o he max valve regulaion, a maximum signal value. This regulaion allows o adap he maximum supplied from he driver o he specific nominal of he proporional valves o which he driver is coupled; i is also useful o reduce he maximum valve regulaion in fron of maximum signal. Two differen Scale regulaions are available for double solenoid valves: ScaleA for posiive signal and ScaleB for negaive signal. 7. Bias and Threshold Proporional valves may be provided wih a dead band in he hydraulic regulaion corresponding o heir swich-off saus. This dead band disconinuiy in he valve s regulaion can be compensaed by acivaing he Bias funcion, which adds a fixed prese Bias value o he signal (analog or fieldbus exernal inpu). The Bias funcion is acivaed when he signal overcomes he Threshold value, prese ino he driver. The Bias seing allows o calibrae he Bias o he specific proporional valve o which he driver is coupled. The Threshold seing is useful o avoid undesired valve regulaion a zero signal when elecric noise is presen on he analog inpu signal: smaller hreshold reduces he signal dead band, greaer values are less affeced by elecric noise presence. If fieldbus signal is acive (see 5.), hreshold should be se o zero. Two differen Bias regulaions are available for double solenoid valves: posiive signals acivae BiasA and negaive signals acivae BiasB. Ramps The ramp generaor allows o conver sudden change of elecronic signal ino smooh ime-dependen increasing/decreasing of he supplied o he solenoid. Differen ramp mode can be se: - single ramp for any variaion - wo ramps for increasing and for decreasing variaions - four ramps for posiive/negaive signal values and increasing/decreasing variaions Ramp generaor is useful for applicaion where smooh hydraulic acuaion is necessary o avoid machine vibraion and shocks. If he proporional valve is driven by a closed loop conroller, he ramps can lead o unsable behaviour, for hese applicaions ramp funcion can be sofware disabled (defaul seing). 7.5 Linearizaion - -SW level funcionaliy Linearizaion funcion allows o se he relaion beween he inpu signal and he conrolled valve s regulaion. Linearizaion is useful for applicaions where i is required o linearize he valve s regulaion in a defined working condiion. 7.5 - Linearizaion Bias A Scale B Solenoid S 7.6 - Variable Diher Bias B Solenoid S Scale A 7.6 Variable Diher The diher is he frequency modulaion of he supplied o he solenoid. To reduce he hyseresis should be seleced a lower value of frequency, despie a lower regulaion sabiliy, because a small vibraion in he valve regulaing pars considerably reduces saic fricion effecs. To improve he regulaion sabiliy, should be seleced a high value of frequency, despie a higher hyseresis. This soluion in some applicaion can lead o vibraion and noise. Normally, he righ seing is a compromise and depends on sysem seup. -BM-AS drivers allow o realize a variable diher frequency ha linearly depends on he demanded : variable diher frequency allows an higher degree o opimize he valve hyseresis. 7.7 ydraulic Power Limiaion - only for /W opion Digial -BM-AS drivers wih /W opion elecronically perform hydraulic power limiaion on: - direc and pilo operaed flow conrol valves - direc and pilo operaed direcional conrol valves + mechanical compensaor - variable displacemen pumps wih proporional flow regulaor (e.g. PVP-*-LQZ, ech able A70) The driver receives he flow signal by he analog exernal inpu INPUT+ (see 5.) and a ransducer, insalled in he hydraulic sysem, has o be conneced o he driver s analog inpu TR (see 5.7).
