As power supply for D- or A-side swiching differen single-wave and bridge recifiers as well as rapid swichgear of he series OMBITRO are available. 5 OMBITRO Swiching Arrangemens A-side Swiching When swiching before he recifier on he A-side he magneic field decays slowly. A his mode of swiching he ripping delay is quie long. The A-side swiching requires no proecive measuremens for he coil and he swiching conacs. On disconnecion he recifier diodes ac as free-wheeling diodes. The swiching imes 11 for A-side swiching increase when he recifier is conneced direcly in he moor erminal box (2). When he moor slows down a generaoric volage is applied o he moor erminals. The wiring (2 and 3) is no permied for frequency inverer operaion. For line lenghs of more han 10 m beween recifier and brake a A-side swiching he regulaions prescribe he use of a separae swich (1). In his case he supply volage may no be apped behind he moor conacor (2). 6 D-side swiching The swiching is done beween he recifier and he magne. A his mode of swiching he ripping delay is shor, since he energy of he magneic field is absorbed by he recifier. The volage peaks ha occur a swiching are limied o a harmless level for he recifier. The maximal permissible swiching frequency for he D-side swiching of recifiers depends on he energy conen of he magne for OMBISTOP. Higher swiching frequencies are achieved by he exernal connecion of a varisor in parallel o he brake or o he erminals + and - D of he recifier.
