From Orange/lack Dots, cut: 1 rectangle, 28½" x 32½", for center background 6 strips, 2½" x 40", for double-fold binding From reen/yellow Stripe, cut: 1 strip, 4½" x 32½", for grass From Purple Dots, cut: 2 bat bodies, using From Purple/reen Stripe, cut: 2 bat wings, using 2 bat wings, using From each of reen Pumpkins, ray Cats, Orange Silhouettes, Orange Candy Corn, and Orange/Purple Stripe, cut: 1 jack-o-lantern, using A From Purple Silhouettes, cut: 2 squares, 9⅞" x 9⅞"; cut each square once diagonally to make 4 triangles for border corners 1 jack-o-lantern, using A From reen Dots, cut: 6 jack-o-lantern stems, using From Yellow Dots, cut: 6 jack-o-lantern faces, using s C, D, E, and F -A-P-P-Y -A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N, using the lettering templates From Multicolor Collage, cut: 2 squares, 9⅞" x 9⅞"; cut each square once diagonally to make 4 triangles for border corners From Multicolor order Stripe, cut: 4 lengthwise strips, 9½" x 32½", for border Quilt Top Assembly All seams ¼". Press seams in direction of arrows unless otherwise instructed. Refer to photograph for fabric placement. 1. Using Orange/lack Dots 28½" x 32½" rectangle, and reen/yellow Stripe 4½" x 32½" strip, assemble the center background as shown. 2. Using your favorite appliqué technique, appliqué C, D, E, and F pieces to a A jack-o-lantern. Repeat to make a total of 6 jacko-lanterns (stems will be added in next step). C E F D Make 6. A
3. Arrange and appliqué jack-o-lanterns made in Step 2 to center background made in Step 1. Next, appliqué stems in place. Appliqué bat wings (s and ), followed by bat bodies ( ). Then appliqué APPY ALLOWEEN lettering in place. 4. Using 1 Purple Silhouettes triangle, and 1 Multicolor Collage triangle, assemble a border corner unit as shown. Repeat to make 4 corner units. Make 4. Appliqué jack-o-lanterns in place. 5. Referring to photo for orientation, sew a corner unit to each end of one Multicolor order Stripe 9½" x 32½" strip. Press seams toward strip. Repeat to make 2 of these pieced borders (see the top and bottom borders in the Quilt Assembly Diagram). 6. Sew the remaining 2 Multicolor order Stripe 9½" x 32½" strips to the sides of the quilt as shown in Quilt Assembly Diagram. Press seams toward borders. 7. Sew the pieced borders made in Step 5 to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press seams toward borders. Finishing Layer quilt top, batting, and backing. Quilt as desired. ind.
