EECTROMAGNETIC FOW METER EPD elecromagneic flow meer is a highaccuracy flow meer manufacured based on he laes inernaional echnology. I is widely applied in papermaking, chemical indusry, meallurgical indusry, drainage, wase waer reamen, liquid highpressure meering, medical care, food, and environmenal proecion indusries. I is used o measure he nonmagneic liquid and plasma in he enclosed pipe. When he conducing liquid flows in he orhogonal direcion of he magneic line direcion, i will cu he magneic lines and generae induced volage, which shows linear relaionship wih he flowing speed. Thus, he fluidic volume flow can be calculaed. EPD elecromagneic flow meer is mainly composed of he sensor and ransmier. The measuring ube of he sensor is equipped wih he exciaion coils upward and downward. The ransmier supplies he exciaion curren, which generaes he magneic field which goes hrough he measuring ube once i is powered on. A pair of inducion elecrodes insalled on he inner side of he measuring ube comes in conac wih he liquid o guide he induced volage o he sensor. INSTAATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. The flow meer mus be free from srong elecromagneic field. The magneic inensiy of he flow meer insallaion sie mus be smaller han 00A/m (I should no be insalled near large moors or ransformers). 2. I should be insalled a he lower poin and he verically upward poin of he horizonal pipe. Don insall i a he highes poin and he verically downward poin of he pipe.. I should be insalled a he rising poin of he pipe.. I should be insalled a he lower poin of he pipe when i is insalled on he pipe wih opening for drainage. 5. If he pipe gap exceeds 5m, he air release valve should be insalled a he downsream of he sensor. The downsream of he sensor should have some back pressure. Air Release Valve 6. The conrol valve and cu valve should be insalled a he downsream of he sensor raher han he upsream. 7. The sensor should be insalled a he pump oule raher han he inle.. The fluidic mus flow owards he arrow direcion of he flow meer. 9. The axial line of he measuring elecrode mus be approximae o he horizonal direcion (The angle of from he horizonal direcion). 10. The measuring pipe mus be compleely filled wih liquid. 11
INSTAATION INSTRUCTIONS 11. The sraigh ube secion is required o be a leas 5D (inernal diameer of he flow meer) on he fron side, and a leas 2D on he rear side.. When measuring he mixure of differen media, he disance beween he mixing poin and he flow meer mus be 0D a leas. 1. For convenien cleaning and mainenance of he flow meer, a bypass pipe mus be insalled. 1. When insalling he sensor, i should ensure ha he measuring pipe and he process pipe mus be on he same axial line. For he flow meer wih he pipe meer of 50mm or below, he axial line deviaion should no exceed 2mm. For hose of DN65~DN0, he axial line deviaion should no exceed mm. For hose of DN, he axial line deviaion should no exceed mm.. The shim insalled beween he flanges should have excellen anicorrosion propery. The shim should no inrude in he pipe, which will affec he fluidic in he pipe.. The sensor and ransmier should be equipped wih highqualiy independen grounding wire (The secion area of he copper core is 1.6mm2). The grounding resisance should be <10Ω. If he grounding is poor, i won work normally. The grounding ring is needed if he pipe connecing wih he sensor is insulaing, and he maerial of he grounding ring should be he same as ha of he elecrode. If he es medium is abrasive, he neck grounding ring should be seleced..1 I is for insalling he flow meer on he meal pipe no coaed wih insulaing layer inernally..2 When insalling he flow meer on he proecive pipe of he cahode, he pipe wih he proecion of elecrolyic corrosion generally has insulaing walls and proruding sides. Thus, during insallaion, he grounding ring and he flanges on he pipe should be insulaing.. When insalling he flow maer on he plasic pipe or he pipe wih insulaing coaing maerial, pains or lining, grounding rings on boh ends of he sensor should be insalled.
