The L95 is designed o accep sandard microprocessor logic levels a he inpus and can drive solenoids. The oupu curren is compleely conrolled by means of a swich-ing echnique allowing very efficien operaion. Furhermore, i includes an enable inpu and dual supplies (for inerfacing wih peripherals running a a higher volage han he logic). The L95 is paricularly suiable for applicaions such as hammer driving in marix priners, sep moor driving and elecromagne conrollers. The device is conrolled by hree micriprocessor compaible digial inpus and wo analog inpus. /7
These inpus are: EN chip enable (digial inpu, acive low), enables boh channels when in he low sae. in, in channel inpus (digial inpus, acive high), enable each channel independenly. A channel is acived when boh EN and he appropriae channel inpu are acive. ref, ref referce volages (analog inpus), used o program he peak load currens. Peak load curren is proporional o ref. Since he wo channels are idenical, only channel one will be described. The following descripion applies also he channel wo, replacing FF for FF, ref for ref ec. When he channel is avivaed by low level on he EN inpu and a high level on he channel inpu, in, he oupu ransisors Q and Q swich on and curren flows in he load according o he exponenial law: where: R and R are he resisance and inducance of he load and is he volage available on he load ( s - drop - sense ).
