Remve the remte frm the subbase. It is held n the subbase by a plastic tab n the bttm f the remte sensr. head screwdriver t remve it frm the subbase. Bttm f Remte Sensr Once yu have remved the dr frm the back f the remte, insert AA Alkaline batteries and replace the battery dr. Remte Sensing Cmmunicatin Cnnecting t the Easy cmmunicatin link set up. (The remte sends temperature infrmatin every 5 minutes.). The Thermstat Tech setting fr the Remte Sensr must be set t YES. See the thermstat manual fr instructins.. Navigate the Thermstat t the INDING SENSORS technician setup step and then select the zne yu wish t cnnect tt hat remte. 3. On the Remte Sensr hld the LIGHT buttn fr 3 secnds t enter the tech setup 4. In the nd tech setup step, chse the zne number selected n the 5. While in the ZONE tech setup step n the remte, hld the light buttn dwn until the wireless icn flashes, apprximately 3 secnds. Remte Sensr Example Step 3 and 5. YES Wireless Icn REMOTE SENSOR Example Step. Remte Sensr set t YES. Then press NEXT STEP. Light Buttn å Example Step. The Thermstat inding Sensr zne numbers must match the zne number n the REMOTE NOTE: yu can nly cnnect ne REMOTE t each zne. EXAMPLE: if yu wuld like t cnnect tw REMOTES t the Thermstats. Then cnnect the first ne t Zne and the secnd ne t Zne. -- INDING SENSORS OUND REMOTE Example Step 6. The Thermstat nw displays the name and the ambient temperature f the REMOTE. Technician Setup Menu Technician Setup Menu Remte Sensing This remte sensr has a technician setup menu fr easy installer cnfiguratin. T set up the remte fr yur particular applicatin:. Press and hld the LIGHT buttn fr 3 secnds. This 3 secnd delay is designed s that hmewners d nt accidentally access the installer settings.. Cnfigure the installer ptins as desired using the table belw. 3. Use the key t mve t the next tech setup screen. Use the key t make adjustments t the settings. NOTE: Press and release the light buttn when yu want t exit the tech setup System Select Zne Selctin Remte Name Shw Set This step cnfigures the remte device t cnnet t a wireless THERMOSTAT, r a wireless ZONING system master thermstat. Leave setting n THERMSTAT fr this applicatin. Selcts which zne is cnnected t the thermstat. Only remte can be used fr each zne fr a ttal f 4 remtes. Selcts a name fr the remte. This name will appear n the thermstat when the thermstat is displaying the remte s temperature Enabling this feature will allw the remte t temprarily verride the thermstat set pint. THERMSTAT ZONE REMOTE n THERMSTAT: The remte is cnfigured t a wireless thermstat. ZONING: The remte is cnfigured t cnnect t wireless zning system Master Zne, Zne, Zne 3, Zne 4 The Zne number n the remte and the Thermstat must match in rder t establish a cnnectin See previus page t cnnect. THERMOSTAT ZONE REMOTE O Remte Sensing Technician Setup Menu Rm Calibratin r C This feature allws the installer t change the calibratin f the rm temperature display. re example, if the thermstat reads 70 and yu wuld like it t read 7. This feature sets the display temperature t read either ahrenheit r Celsius. 0 CALIBRATE AHRENHIT Yu can adjust the rm tempaerature display t read r - 4 degrees frm the factry calibrated settings. 0 fr ahrenheit C fr Celsius Sensr Only Mde ( tech screen set t N) Remte Sensr Cnfiguratin In sensr nly mde (set t N) the remte will nt allw yu t change the set pint. The current ambient temperature will be displayed and transmitted t the Thermstat every five minutes. The ambient temperature will be used fr cntrlling when system average is selected and whenever it is given pririty by the prgram in the Adjustable Remte Mde ( tech screen set t Y) In shw set mde it will shw the temperature setpint arrws and the CLEAN key. In this mde the Remte can be used t verride the Thermstats current settings fr 4 hurs in additin t being used as temperature sensr. Lw Setpint This feature allws yu t set a minimum cl setpint value. The setpint temperature cannt be lwered belw this value. 44 LOW LIMIT Use the key t select the minimum cl setpint. 44 OVERRIDE PROCEDURE: Press the up r dwn arrws n the Remte. The current ambient temperature will be displayed. Adjust the temperature reading t the desired set pint. The Thermstat will display the zne that currently has cntrl and the at the remte. The wrd REMOTE will be displayed n the Thermstat t shw the remte has verriden the prgram. Allw up t minute fr the Thermstat t acknwledge an verride frm a Remte. High Setpint Limit This feature allws yu t set a maximum heat setpint value. The setpint temperature cannt be raised abve this value. NOTE: Gt t page 9 f this manual t see the instructins n hw t cnnect this REMOTE t the 90 HIGH LIMIT Use the key t select the maximum heat setpint. NOTE: Tech setup cannt be entered if the REMOTE is in temprary hld mde. Press the RUN key t exit temprary hld. 90 Pressing Run Schedule n the Thermstat will return the system t the prgrammed schedule. The Remte will als shw a Run key that can be pressed t return the Thermstat t the current prgrammed temperature, which cancels the hld. N Y NOTE: The Remte will shw the Run key fr 4 hurs even if the Thermstat is put back in t nrmal peratin r verridden by a nd remte. Hwever, the last device changed will have pririty. System average is the average f all cnnected sensrs. Lcal is the ambient temperature f the The name f the REMOTE can be displayed. This shws it has pririty. HOLD: Indicates the Thermstat is in permanent HOLD. A permanent HOLD can be active fr system average, lcal, r any REMOTE. Run Schedule: Will cancel any hlds and return the system t the prgram. Next Zne REMOTE Setpint will nly be displayed fr the zne currently being used by the prgram r in hld. Press the r t shw the setpint fr adjustment. Zning Establishing Cmmunicatin Our Wireless Zning System cntains selectable wireless cmmunicatin. Each cmpnent has a jumper switch labeled SK and ASK. Default Setting: SK. All cmpnents must be set t the same psitin fr wireless cmmunicatin. This selectable cmmunicatin ptin is available t yu in case yu have a device yu are pairing with that nly has the ASK ptin. This step selects a name fr the zne thermstat. This name will als appear n the Master Thermstat when it is displaying the zne s status. ZONING: Enabling this feature will allw the zne remte t cntrl the mde, AN mde, and setpint temperature f the zne. Disabling it will turn all cntrl f that zne ver t the master thermstat.
