Piecing Instructions - all seams 1/4 This is a simple nine-patch quilt, made with sashing between the blocks. The key in making this quilt as cute as it can be is the placement of the fabric blocks! For the first block, use THREE (3) Fabric E, 3 Fabric F squares and 3 Fabric G squares, piece as shown, pressing towards the pink lines: 1 2 3 Make FOUR (4) of these blocks Page 2

Using the same nine-patch instructions given on the previous page, make 12 more blocks in the fabric colors shown below: Make FOUR Make FOUR Make FOUR Now, it s time to sew all of your hard work together! There is no secret to completing the quilt except to start sewing your sashing onto the center blocks and work out from there. It will work best if you make sure you press your seams toward the sashing strips. 1 2 Sew 3 Fabric C squares to the ends of 3 of your Fabric D strips. Sew another Fabric C square to the end of one of your pink/ yellow strips. 3 4 Page 3 Now, sew 1 plain Fabric D strip to one side of your block and follow the block around with your pink/ yellow strips. Finished Block with Sashing

To piece the sashing onto the next strip, sew a purple strip to the right side of the block. 1 2 Sew 2 Fabric C squares to the ends of 2 of your Fabric D strips. 3 4 5 Sew your two blocks together Sew your pink/yellow strips to the top and bottom of your block. Finished Block with Sashing 1 2 Sew 2 Fabric C squares to the ends of 2 of your Fabric D strips. 3 Sew your pink/yellow strips to the bottom (first) and then left of your block. 4 Finished Block with Sashing Page 4 BOMQuilts.com - All Rights Reserved

To piece the sashing onto the final center block, sew a purple strip to the right side of the block. 1 2 Sew 1 Fabric C square to the ends of 1 of your Fabric D strips. 3 4 5 Sew your two blocks together Sew your pink/yellow strip to the bottom of your block. Finished Block with Sashing 6 7 Sew your center blocks together Completed center blocks with sashing. Page 5

Sew the sashing strips to each of the remaining blocks, as shown, pressing towards the strips: Now, sew your sashed blocks together, with the appropriate unsashed blocks: Page 6

Sew the final four blocks together with the sashing strips, as shown, and then put together: 1 2 Page 7

Finally, put your quilt together! 1 2 Page 8

Finally, sew the outer border strips together until they are the appropriate length, and sew them to your quilt, top and bottom first, then left and right sides: Page 9

To piece the back of your quilt, sew a large four-patch block, pressing towards the pink lines: 1 2 Finished Back Page 10

Binding Your Quilt 1) Sew each of the 2 1/2 x width of fabric G strips together as shown: Trim excess fabric 1/4 above seam. Layer strips and stitch diagonally. 2) With wrong sides together, fold binding in half lengthwise and press. Pin binding to the front edge of the quilt and sew in place using a 1/4 seam (see 1 below). When you reach a corner, stop stitching 1/4 from the edge and fold the binding up and away from the quilt (2). Fold the binding back down and begin stitching again, 1/4 from the folded edge (3). 1 2 3) Continue stitching the binding to the quilt until you reach the starting point. Overlap the starting edge of the binding by approximately 1 and cut away the excess binding strip. Tuck the end into the fold and finish sewing the binding in place. 3 4) Sandwich your quilt front, batting and backing together, right sides of fabric facing out. Fold the binding over the raw edges of the quilt so that the folded edge covers the row of stitching on the back. Using a needle and thread, whipstitch the binding in place. 4 Back of quilt Congratulations! You have just completed a smoochalicious TT Razzle Dazzle Hugs & Mooches Quilt ~ for your little bedazzler! Thanks for shopping with AbbiMays.com and thanks for visiting BOMquilts.com! Page 11
