Acknowledge receipt on the Proposal Form. General 1. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, November 30 at 10:00 AM. Please sign in at the main office with your driver s license and you will be directed where to go. 2. As a reminder, the State of Indiana has repealed the Wage Scale. The requirements for wage rates are not required and a Wage Scale is not included. General Questions and Answers 1. Q: Condensate piping is shown but it does not show where it goes to. A: Take condensate from UVs as shown in Detail #9, M501. Condensate main shall terminate into vents as shown on piping plan drawings M200 & M201. 2. Q: Note in middle of M200 refers to coil connection as shown on AD-2/3. Where is AD-2/3? A: AD-2/3 is a typo and should read AC-2/3. See coil connection diagrams on M500, Existing AC-2 & AC-3 Coil Connection. 3. Q: Is an insulated panel specified for the blank off? A: Instead of an insulated panel, the entire duct stub is to be insulated IAW Detail 11, M501. Contractor may shorten length of duct stub as short as practical to minimize sealing/insulation requirements. Specifications 1. Section 15620 1 1.02.A, revise to read: This Section includes air cooled, rotary or scroll compressor water chillers with remote condenser. 2. Section 15620 2 2.02.A, revise to read: Description: Hermetic or serviceable hermetic scroll or screw compressor, lubrication system, crankcase heater, suction and discharge line service valves, mounted on vibration isolators. 3. Section 15620 5 2.08.A, revise to read: The chiller shall have spring isolation; condensers shall be mounted as described on plans. Chiller shall have direct isolation (no base) and the following vibration isolators: 1. Vibration Isolators: Restrained-spring type, galvanized or epoxy coated for exterior installation with minimum deflection of 0.75 inch (19 mm). 4. M100, Condenser Locations (also applies to M401): In lieu of routing the refrigerant lines underground according to Detail 12, M501, the lines may be routed above ground using MAPA or eqv. If pipes are to be routed above ground, the areaway shall be enclosed with fence. Drop refrigerant lines directly into grating from above, cut grating as req d. If fence comes into contact with existing gas meter fencing, ensure door swing and access is not covered up. Fence shall extend to all edges to prevent unauthorized access. Leave 4 clearance for existing condensing unit associated with walk in cooler/freezer. Mulch areas may be demolished as req d. Plant grass or gravel as described in plans & plan details. 2. M400, Enlarged Office Area Mechanical Plan, Alternate No. 2 Work: As part of Alternate No. 2: Electric wall heaters shall be added to Boys and Girls RR as shown on attached sketch M4. Ensure mounting is clear of water closet door opening. Heaters are to be provided by M.C. E.C. to provide: Wire & conduit: 2-#12 CU, 1-#12 GND ¾ C. Breaker: 1 pole, 30A breaker. Panel designation: HC-35, HC-36. 3. M501, Detail 9: Change condensate pump model to: Little Giant VCMA-20ULS. 15 head @ 20 GPH. Pump shall be provided by UV MFGR. UV MFGR shall wire pump from internal contacts in UV. MFGR shall also wire pump to shut fan off in case of failure. 4. M600: The following sequences included as attachments in text format. It is intended that the text format is a duplication of the graphical format sequences shown on M600. Contractor shall notify engineer via email if any discrepancies are found between text sequences and graphical sequences. Direct all inquiries to asteiner@sims-durkin.com. Any conceptual changes between the graphical sequences and the text sequences are bubbled.
