2 2) Install wall rail for entire row length. 3) If additional holes are drilled in top plate for 1/4-20 all thread, support with additional # 8 screws at closest location to new holes. 3-1 /8 Above Finish Ceiling - FLSH 4-1 /8 Above Finish Ceiling - REG1 6-1 /8 Above Finish Ceiling - REG3 NOTE: Dimension starts from bottom of wall rail. WARNING! Failure to properly install top plate screws will void warranty x 1/4 machine screws (by others) 3a) Secure housing to structure (multiple options). 3 4) Slide & tighten aligner splines over joint, (2) per Seamless, Flush & 1" REG, (3) per REG3. 5) Fasten Inside Joiner Brackets on row mounted housings. 8-32x3/8 6) Measure and install Backer Flanges (X7BF) at appropriate height. (Required except for pre-framed soffit) 7) Install drywall and self-tapping drywall screws (X7BF - by others). Backer flange can install with up to 2 thick hard ceiling #8-3/8 machine screws Drywall screws must be flush with drywall. 8) Remove shipping straps. 9) Snap Gear Trays into housing (where required). Plug Quick Connects as you install each Gear Tray. Page 3of 6, April 15

4 10) Swing all Safety Brackets and secure. 11) Install perimeter wall trim, Straight trims, "L" shaped end trims. WARNING! Failure to properly install Safety Brackets will void warranty. 11b) Install trim, Straight trim and "L" shape end trims. 12) Re-install shipping straps (Required for X7 Installs Only). X7 Installs - Proceed to Step 12 X3 Installs - Skip to Step 16 13) Install screws through backer flange (recess). 14a) Remove Shipping Strap. Secure trim to drywall using drywall screws (by others). 14b) MUST TEST lens fit in ALL (X7) applications before mud-in. Page 4 of 6, April 15

5 15) Tape & Mud-in to trim edge (X7). 16) Install reflectors. Trim edge 17) Install lamps & lensing, cut last piece to fit. NOTE: Leave 1/16 air gap at each end of run Table saw or chop saw with a 80T blade recommended. Wall 1 /2 K.O. on top cover of housing Page 5 of 6, April 15
