2 PREFACE Hamilton Parts Catalogs are compiled and arranged primarily for watch' repairmen who service Hamilton watches. This catalog contains exploded views illustrating the Various parts and their assembly sequence, an Illustration Index, an Alphabetical Parts List and a Numerical Parts List. Suitable cross-references are included. The exploded views should prove especially helpful to the watch repairman. These views not only show all parts as seen to the eye, but also show their relative positions in the movement and, in general, the order of assembly after repairs and/or cleaning. On familiar grades of Hamilton watches, this feature will be of little interest. But in servi cing new and unfamiliar Hamilton movements, such information can be of considerable help to many watch repairmen. It will be of some help to the user of this to note the word order used on part names. noun is always listed first followed by the WOrds of specific identification. Example : barrel; Wheel, escape ; NOT barrel bridge or wheel.
