2 Since 196 Founded in 196 with experience of over 30 years in the field of plastics processing, TERAPLAST is today one of the greatest PVC processors in Romania. The product portfolio of the company is structured in four business lines: Pvc pipe systems and fittings, Profiles for joinery, Pellets and PVC joinery. The development of the production capacities was correlated with investments made in the research-development program, the budget allocated annually to this domain representing an important percentage from the turnover. Starting 200 the company is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. In the last five years the company has invested over 26 million euro in relocating the production capacity from Bistrita, in the Industrial Park Teraplast, situated outside the city. Teraplast owns today in Saratel production capacities on a surface of more than sqms, split between the PVC proucts factory (PVC pipes section, PVC profiles section, profiles for PVC joinery section, PVC pellets section) and polyolephins factory (the polyethylene tanks and reservoir section, the PVC fittings section, PP and PE and PP pipes section). Teraplast is part of the National System of Research-Development and it is registered in the Register in the Potential Contractors due to the Research Center that belongs to the company. The research-development programs are financed both by own resources, but also by European or national funds. In 2012 the Research-Development Center conducted research activities in order to improve existing products, but also in order to create new products. The TERAPLAST strategy forecasts the intensification of the research-development activity, so that we could continuously offer to our clients complete and professional solutions.
