5 Masonite Steel Entry Systems Introducing the Masonite Entry Door System... Below are recommended components for all assembled door units. Although specific frame components are shown, equivalent products may be used in the assembly of any Masonite door unit. Masonite recommends a high-dam sill, compression weather-stripping, corner seals, and a continuous head & sill system to optimize performance. Continuous Head, Sill and Mull System Door: MHD , Sidelites: MHDSL Utilizing a continuous head, sill and one-piece mull assembly maximizes the stability and rigidity of any sidelited unit. This continuous system also simplifies assembly and virtually eliminates racking and bending. NOTE: Mill finish is standard on all sills. Brass (pictured below) or bronze finishes are also available. Exterior Frame System High-Performance Weather-stripping Vinyl-wrapped, foam-filled, compression weather-stripping and corner seals are added to the door frame providing protection against air and water infiltration. Configurations High-Dam Adjustable Sill High-dam sills create a positive barrier to water infiltration. The high-dam design feature holds back the inevitable rise in the water level against the threshold as wind speed increases. Combining high-dam technology with a high quality door bottom seal, securely protects the bottom of the door unit from air and water infiltration. The adjustable cap feature allows for easy field alterations. High quality metallic and composite materials are featured for rot-resistance and protection against harsh weather conditions. Fixed bumper and low-profile designs are also available to meet outswing or handicap accessible applications. Primed wood frames and applied brickmould are standard. PREMVU Wood-Edge Steel Flush-Glazed Door Panels The Wood-Edge Steel line is also available as a fullview, flush-glazed product. 8 Premium Steel Facings Prime-coated, galvanized, 24-gauge, steel facings provide excellent corrosion protection. Specialty TM Glass Inserts All decorative glass inserts feature a triple-pane 1" insulated assembly providing maximum design selection and performance. Double-pane insulated glass inserts and flush-glazed frame designs are also available. Polyurethane Core Rigid polyurethane foam, meeting strict environmental guidelines, provides maximum thermal protection and dimensional stability. Hardware Reinforcement Reinforcement is added to the lock area providing a rigid mounting surface.
