1 Assembly Instructions Start the assembly with forward fuselage. Lay the two fuselage sides down on a flat surface and glue the foam corner doublers to the locations shown on the plans. Make sure to make a right and a left side. We recommend 3M 77 spray for this step. After the glue has dried, glue the two bulkhead pieces to one of the fuselage sides according to the plans. Make sure they are perpendicular. Glue the two sides together. Place on a flat surface and glue the bulkheads to the other fuselage. After the glue has dried, attach the forward bottom and aft bottom fuselage pieces to the side fuselage pieces.

2 Page 2 Glue the two nosecone pieces together. You can shape the nosecone pieces after the glue is dried. We recommend attaching it to the plane and shaping the nose with the rest of the plane to obtain the most uniform look. Start out with a very course sandpaper (100 grit) and slowly move to a finer finishing sand paper such as 220 or higher to get the smoothest appearance. Glue the two canopy pieces together. Glue on each side of the canopy, two canopy rail pieces as shown in the picture. Shape the canopy piece with the same technique you used for shaping the nosecone. DO NOT attach the canopy to the body of the plane at this time. It does not get permanently attached at any point.

3 Page 3 Cut out the slots in the fuselage sides for the wing and horizontal tail assembly according to the plans. Attach the foam strips provided according to the plans using 3M 77 adhesive. Draw a center line down the middle of the bottom fuselage piece so that you can properly align the motor mount assembly in the next step. Attach the fuselage sides to the body assembly you have created in the previous steps. Make sure the sides are perpendicular to the fuselage bottom.

4 Page 4 Glue the two motor mount pieces together and attach the motor mount wood piece provided. Install the carbon fiber rods in the horizontal tail piece. Glue the two wing pieces together using a 5 minute epoxy and install the carbon fiber rods in the wing assembly.

5 Page 5 Attach the motor mount assembly to the fuselage bottom, making sure the assembly lines up with the center line AND making sure the slots for the horizontal tail assembly also line up. Cut the ailerons free from the wing and tail piece according to the plans. You may shape the leading and trailing edge of the wing at this step. DO NOT hinge the ailerons at this point. It will be done later.

6 Page 6 Slide the horizontal tail into the slots, making sure to pass through the motor mount assembly. Make sure it is flat, perpendicular to the fuselage and glue into place. Slide the wing into the slots. Make sure it is flat and perpendicular to the fuselage and glue into place.

7 Page 7 Glue the aft fuselage top into place. You may want to gently bend the aft fuselage top piece to match the slots in the side fuselage pieces, before inserting the piece. Bend at your own risk. Form the turtle deck side piece by gluing the two pieces together. You can cut and shape these pieces so they meet at a point rather than just butt up together.

8 Page 8 Glue the turtle deck sides down onto the top fuselage piece. You can now glue the turtle deck top piece as well. Glue the vertical tail piece into the top fuselage piece making sure the front of the tail piece matches up to the turtle deck.

9 Page 9 If you have not already done so, you may attach the nosecone assembly to the front of the plane. Sand and shape your plane. You may want to form leading edges on the tail pieces and wing. You may round over the edges of the fuselage body, taking extra care not to sand through the foam. Start with a course grit sandpaper and work your way to a fine grit such as 220 or 320 grit for a smooth finish.
