2 PRODUCT OVERVIEW The HZ301 and HZ321 systems integrate the flush pipe of the toilets flush valve into the overhead extraction duct, resulting in an effective and efficient toilet odour extraction system, thus assisting in greening buildings. PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS HZ301 system for standard flush valve consists of: Hygizone Flush -Tee Pipe - replaces conventional straight standard flushpipe. Hygizone Push -Fit Adaptor - connects Flush -Tee pipe to Hygihose. 4m flexible Hygihose - connects Flush -Tee & Push -Fit Adaptor to the Duct - Spigot. Hygizone Duct -Spigot - fits onto flat sheet metal extraction ducting. All Connectors & Fasteners - pop rivets, cable ties & easy hold wall plugs. Includes rubber pan connector and 2 chrome cover plates. HZ321 system for junior flush valve consists of: Hygizone Flush -Tee Pipe - replaces conventional straight junior flushpipe. Hygizone Push -Fit Adaptor - connects Flush -Tee pipe to Hygihose. 4m flexible Hygihose - connects Flush -Tee & Push -Fit Adaptor to the Duct - Spigot. Hygizone Duct -Spigot - fits onto flat sheet metal extraction ducting. All Connectors & Fasteners - pop rivets, cable ties & easy hold wall plugs. Includes rubber pan connector and 2 chrome cover plates. 3 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read this entire instruction sheet to ensure proper installation. Compliance and conformity to local building codes and ordinances is the responsibility of the installer. For this reason, these instructions should be left on -site with the facility or maintenance manager.! VISUAL CHECKS 1. Make sure the toilets and flush valves have been installed and are secured onto the wall. 2. Visually make sure the Hygizone Chrome Flush - Tee is the correct size & will fit onto the flush valve and toilet. CHROME FLUSH -TEE INSTALLATION 1. Use the Hygizone Chrome Flush -Tee as a template to determine the position of the required hole 2. Build a sleeve in or core a hole through the wall to accommodate the Hygizone Chrome Flush -Tee. 3

Twist the Hygizone Chrome Flush -Tee into position and ensure that the tee section is flush

Hygihose with the fixed flush connector is routed to the flush pipe. 2.

4 CHROME FLUSH -TEE INSTALLATION CONTINUED 3. Fit the chrome caps and pan connector to Chrome Flush -Tee. 4. Twist the Hygizone Chrome Flush -Tee into position and ensure that the tee section is flush with the finished wall surface. ( Chrome Flush -Tee may need to be trimmed if necessary.) HYGIHOSE INSTALLATION 1. Route the Hygihose from the flush pipe to the specified duct, ensuring the end of the Hygihose with the fixed flush connector is routed to the flush pipe. 2. Clip the Push -Fit Adaptor onto the Hygihose Flush Connector. 3. Push the Hygizone Push -Fit Adaptor onto the Hygizone Chrome Flush -Tee. ( Push -Fit Adaptor rubber may require grease.) 4. Use the Chrome Cover Plate supplied to neatly cover the Push -Fit Adaptor. 4

6. If Hygihose is in a services riser or duct, make sure Hygihose is secure and not causing

(Ensure the Hygihose is angled upwards so as to prevent forming any water traps) DUCT

5 HYGIHOSE INSTALLATION CONTINUED 5. Fasten the Hygihose using the easy hold wall fasteners supplied by using a 6/7mm masonry bit. 6. If Hygihose is in a services riser or duct, make sure Hygihose is secure and not causing any obstructions. (Ensure the Hygihose is angled upwards so as to prevent forming any water traps) DUCT CONNECTION 1. Drill a 50mm hole in the Specified duct. (The Hygizone Duct -Spigot works on square ducting only.) 2. Ensure the Hygizone Duct -Spigot is correctly aligned over the hole and in such a way that both flow balance damper and the extract air test points are accessible. 3. Install the Hygizone Duct -Spigot by drilling the 3 holes required using a 4mm steel drill bit and secure using the pop -rivets supplied. 5

5. Size the Hygihose to the Hygizone Duct -Spigot

6 DUCT CONNECTION CONTINUED 4. Ensure butterfly valve in Duct-Spigot is fully open. 5. Size the Hygihose to the Hygizone Duct -Spigot and cut to the required length. 6. Fit the Hygizone Duct -Connector to the Hygihose using the large cable tie supplied. (Make sure the hose is pushed in as deep as possible and that the cable tie is pulled tight.) 7. Clip the Hygizone Duct -Connector onto the Hygizone Duct -Spigot. 6
