2 Central Library 515 Pine St., Green Bay Learn to Write Computer Code and Build Small Electronics with ARDUINO! Arduino is a credit card-sized, programmable microcontroller that can read sensors, turn on lights, run motors, and more, based on the code you write. Ages Friday, March 9 Thursday, May 3 3:15-4:45 pm 6:00-7:30 pm Arduino Club For students who have attended an Arduino at the Library class. A guided activity will expand your coding and Arduino knowledge, and open play with our kits and electronic components to explore more. Bring your own ideas, get project suggestions, and/or show off Arduino creations you ve brought from home. Space limited; call to register for one or both halves of an Arduino Club session. Friday, March 9 Guided Project: 3:15-4:00 pm Open Play 4:00-4:45 pm Serial Monitors Learn to use Arduino s serial monitor to receive and send data, track temperature and light in the room, and control LED lights from a computer. Thursday, May 3 Guided Project: 6:00-6:45 pm Open Play 6:45-7:30 pm LCD Screens Post a message or watch the status of your project through a simple LCD screen! We ll say Hello world! by wiring up an LCD and Arduino. Friday, March 9 1:30-3:00 pm Thursday, April 26 6:00-7:30 pm Arduino at the Library! These hands-on sessions for beginners introduce the basics of coding and inventing with Arduino. Space limited; call to register for your choice of dates/times. Parents welcome to attend. Wednesday, March 21 1:00-4:00 pm Escape Room: Escape Snape s Potion Class Gather your witches and wizards together as you find yourself locked in Snape s potion class. Hurry, though, before he gets back and discovers you sniffing around for that special pollyjuice potion. Please call to register for a spot. Ages 10+ Monday, March 26 6:00-7:30 pm Murder Mystery at the Library There's been a murder at the public library, and we need your help to solve it. Come find clues, interrogate the suspects and witnesses, and catch the killer who is overdue for justice. Presented by East High students and Brown County Library. Call to reserve your spot on the teen investigation team.

Bring your poetry - mellow, powerful, rhyming or otherwise - to share and read aloud; hear others work and get inspired! We ll kick off the event with a creative writing exercise to get you warmed up! Wednesday, May 9 Sticky Note Art Join us to create fascinating works of art using only colorful sticky notes. Test your creativity! Team up with friends! Wednesday, May 16 Wii Have Fun! Try your luck and challenge your friends to Wii games on our big screen.

We ll use buzzers, called piezos, that are able to make noises and sense pressure. Space is limited, call to register. Ages 10+ Monday, April 16 3:30-5:30 pm Make your own LED Bracelet This program combines fashion, sewing, and technology together to create a light up LED bracelet with fabric, conductive thread, and LED lights. Afterwards, we ll dim the lights to see if we can figure out whose lights we re looking at. All materials will be provided. Space is limited, call to register. Ages 10+ Monday, May 7 3:30-5:00 pm Superhero Trivia How much do you know about Superheroes? Topics range from the DC and Marvel Universe to Disney Heroes and More! Snacks and crafts provided! PG-13, 2017, 2 hr 10 min Friday, March 30 2:00 pm Prom Spa & Make Up Night Get your skin prepared to look your best at prom! Enjoy a clay mask and test out some DIY make up looks. Bring your own make up along and a skin care and make up consultant will show you how to apply it for the big night. Monday, April 30 El Día de Los Niños/El Día de Los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day) Celebration Celebrate Día de los Niños at the library with balloon animals, crafts, and an ice cream treat! All ages welcome. Día, celebrated on April 30, is a national celebration that links all children and their families to diverse books, languages, cultures, and community resources. All Brown County Library locations will be CLOSED Monday, May 28, 2018.
